As a casual gamer, this is a really good mouse. I had trouble with my G5 with its RF causing skipping in the pointer. I got this mouse on an impulse and its works perfectly fine so far. I have played Oblivion for about 6 hours with this mouse and it works flawlessly. I am not sure about the software though and I set up Flip3D in Vista to my double click and it worked initially but has gone back to the default of smooth scroll. I have not set up Macros so far or set up special functions as per a program.
The button presses seem solid and feel good. The mouse has a textured feel and feels better than the smooth surface of my G5. I havent finished draining the battery so far. The cable which allows you to charge the mouse as you use it is magnetic and I think is a good design choice. The cable unwinds to a good length and it does go through my smallish table.
The different feet which we get dont seem that different from each other although they are all smooth on my mouse pad made of laminated wood. I have a good quality mouse pad coming and will update as required.......

There is only one thing the Razer Mamba has better than this mouse, the comfort in hand, and that is even only slightly better.

The Battery life is simply amazing, we are talking weeks on a single charge! The driver software is very simple and just does what it's needed to do (it also doesn't take forever to "read and save" to/from the mouse every time you open it. The charger cord is barely noticable when it's connected. Most important, it never misses a beat. You'll forget it's a wireless mouse when it's on 4000 dpi.......

This is the best mouse I've used. In the last year I've used 27 different mice. This one is Number one in My opinion.......

I like the mouse. I bought a used one thinking surely they would not ship defective products. It takes 18 clicks of the mouse wheel up or down for page scroll, and yes i tried the settings and updates. Thanks Warehouse Deals, Inc. now the good part, Amazon says 4 weeks maybe less for a refund? If they actually did care about customer service it would be two days at the most. I like being able to make the crosshairs go super slow at the touch of a button, if I was heavily into sniper games, but when you are in wsg trying to take back the stables super slow mouse movement all of a sudden because you hit the slow button is not cool, wow. The silver open files, launch games button, really? turning your hand to the right so your thumb can reach the black button at the front left is kinda annoying, but wait you don't have to worry about that because you cant set that button to do anything, none of the above buttons can be programmed. So basically what you have is a regular mouse with two extra side buttons. Also the mouse wheel feels kinda weird like a nail file or something. However I do like the side buttons and how it will track on anything. kinda fat on the backside though to.......

I ended up returning my Sidewinder X8 and getting a Razer Mamba. I ended up not using this mouse much, it's just that the biggest issue was that I didn't like the way my hand sat on it. If I put my hand where it was comfortable, my thumb wasn't at the back button. If I moved my hand up so the thumb was in the right place, well the way they designed the back of the mouse, there's a gap, and with my hand forward, I'd put too much weight on the rear of the mouse and it would tilt up (or pop a wheelie as others call it). It was just too annoying. I have a big hand, maybe smaller hands aren't as affected?

The buttons on it felt fine, the scroll wheel was a little stiffer than I'd like, though not so much that I would call it hard to scroll, some people have complained about that. They also give you a false impression in the picture of the mouse, there isn't any blue light that comes out from the rear bottom, so if that's actually something you wanted, it's not there. (The Mamba has blue light in spades between the mouse and base, though that can be turned off if it annoys you).

The charging is so so, the cable connects to it easily enough, my preference though is for mice that have a stand to sit and charge on, like the Logitech and Razer mice I've used.

Anyway, I'd recommend to try getting your hands on one and test driving it before buying. I went to a few stores around town though and didn't find any out to try. You can put your hand on it through the packaging, so I thought it was going to work out, but you won't be able to test out that rocking issue if it's in the package.......

This was complete waste of money for me. I make near minimum wage, and the cost of this controller was not insignificant. To find out that it will not in fact work with my mac after being told otherwise is infuriating. Absolutely worthless POS that cost me money. Logitech can GTH.......

This is THEE greatest controller ever made. EVER. EVERRRR. I usually dont review things on here (that is something my husband does enough of for the both of us), but when I saw that there were actually idiots giving this device lower than a four, I had to say something.

If you are having issues with this damn thing, CHECK THE FRIGGIN BATTERIES! All of the problems the people are having are totally battery issued. We had two of these and they are probably still alive and kicking today (I say probably because we lost them to thieves). Never had any issues.

Fact of the matter is... DONT BUY WIRELESS CONTROLLERS IF YOU ARE TECHNOLOGICALLY CHALLENGED. Its as simple as that. Get the good old ones that just plug right into your console or PC. Leave the high tech stuff for those of us who actually know how to use it, and appreciate its perfect greatness.......

This is exactly what you want for a pc game controller. Buttons, feel, weight, responsiveness of wireless, all great. The only problem I've had is having to replace a couple over the years (both lasted about 1.5 or 2 years). However, I still go back and buy the exact same controller just because the quality is that good.......

This controller worked great for about a month, now won't do anything. The red light just blinks and it won't respond. A total waste of money, have gone through four Logitech controllers and none of them worked more than six months. Will never buy from Logitech again.

My advice: Get a Niko. They're cheaper and mine has lasted years. Get something that will last, not this piece of junk.......

Couldn't ask for a better controller for my laptop to play GTA IV. Makes everything so much better. Easy to install and everything. Only wish the buttons were set to a controller type like the xBox or PS3 but you get used to it. Very Satisfied!......

PROS
-Ergonomics: Second most comfortable mouse I've ever used. I prefer the shape of Logitechs MX1100, but that mouse has other issues, and when a mouse is in this high a class, the difference is really elementary.

-Performance: Obviously this mouse is crazy good. Great sensitivity, best wireless response of any mouse.

-Features: the charging dock is glorious, and the ability to switch to wired mode is incredibly convenient.

-New firmware: 1.07 has solved basically every issue that you may have heard of. Mouse doesn't jitter any more, the "wake" from "sleep" is now extremely quick, and battery life is still good. (Also note that all these new mice ship with the correct Teflon ring, as other reviewers have mentioned).

CONS

-Firmware update: This is not something that should be difficult, and really once you finally figure out what to do, it's not that difficult. The problem is Razer's directions are ABYSMALLY lacking detail. For instance, on x64 bit they say you have to turn on driver signature detection, but they don't make it clear when (do it before you install/update anything). Also, they COMPLETELY ignore what you need to do happen if something goes wrong while you are updating the. It's actually fairly easy to fix, you just download and install the drivers, then when you plug in your mouse use Windows' update driver tool, and point it to the Razer folder. There's a few other minor annoyances, but basically has just been incredibly LAZY. Almost all of my issues could have been resolved had they just put this information on their website, instead of making me search for forums.

OTHER THOUGHTS

I did not take a star away because I didn't want people to think they should not buy this mouse. You absolutely should, it's great. I felt it would be unfair to take a star off this PRODUCT because the COMPANY is lazy. The firmware install, again, is actually fairly easy, even it it gets screwed up, *provided that you have the necessary instructions and information*. Even with everything going as wrong as it could for me, I was still up and running in about half an hour, and the mouse has been easily my favorite ever.......

I'm a long time fan of Razer products dating back as far as the original Boomslang released in the late 90s. This is the first time I've tried an ergonomic Razer mouse, as I never purchased the DeathAdder, instead having purchased several Diamondbacks and a Copperhead prior to the Mamba.

I was at first skeptical as to whether or not I'd like a Mamba, and I was also concerned about the weight once the battery was in. I tried a Lachesis as the form factor reminded me more of the original Boomslang, but I found the flange toward the edges at the ends of the fingertips to be uncomfortable, and ended up exchanging it for the Mamba. I don't regret it.

The first thing that struck me about the Mamba was the button placement. The two buttons for the thumb and two extra for the index finger are placed exactly where you would want them to be. I tried the mouse in both corded and wireless mode and found it to be extremely comfortable to use. The weight with the battery in is a little heavier than I would like, however, you can use the mouse in corded mode without the battery in it - making it quite light. The mouse cord has a braided non-slip fabric sleeve around it which is very well made, and everything about the mouse and accessories appears to be extremely high quality in general. This isn't the cheapest gaming grade mouse, but then again, you do get what you pay for with the Mamba.

I could not detect any difference in performance between the wired and wireless modes. Both were exceptionally smooth and lag free when used on a hard gaming grade mousepad. Installing the drivers was easy, the firmware was a little more involved, requiring the disabling of unsigned drivers in Vista for the wireless base firmware (press F8 on boot up to accomplish this). A word of caution also, the 1.7 firmware is designed to decelerate the cursor faster than you slow your mouse movement, in order to enhance precision. This isn't for everyone and feels a little strange to use at first. The 1.6 firmware does not have this option, and is provided as an alternative if you want a more traditional feel.

As for cons, I'd have rather there been an option to bind the sensitivity up/down buttons to increasing/decreasing the windows pointer speed rather than increasing/decreasing the mouse sensitivity. My preference has always been to leave mice on their maximum dpi and adjust the pointer speed as necessary. Additionally, reading/writing from the onboard memory on the mouse (Razer synapse) is slow, especially in wireless mode, and the software does this very frequently (more than necessary in my opinion). The bottom line is honestly the mouse will take longer to set up than you'd probably like it to take, but then again it does have a lot of features you don't find on a typical mouse. Once you get the mouse set up the way you like, it's a dream - very smooth and comfortable any way you use it.......

This is a beautiful, well-crafted and comfortable mouse that is extremely sensitive. In fact, it is too sensitive when the resolution is turned up very high, but the software is so flexible you can set whatever resolutions work best for you (up to five presets) and you can choose among them with buttons directly on the mouse. It's really an amazingly nice mouse and a joy to use.

On my Vista x64 computer, however, the mouse prevents the computer from sleeping. After a while, the computer will wake up from sleep. Diagnosis has shown that the mouse is the cause; if it is not plugged in (the base station, that is), the computer will sleep as usual. Something the mouse base station is doing is waking up the computer. It is a disappointment to have to shut down the computer at night instead of letting it sleep.

Another very minor problem on Vista x64 is that you need to boot into a special mode to update the firmware on the mouse. Hopefully I won't have to do that very often.......

The Mamba has worked well for me. The most recent drivers and updates to the mouse housing itself seem to have fixed all the jitter and battery charge issues that previous users report.

The tracking and sensitivity is excellent on this mouse, wireless does not skip a beat. (I run the 1Khz tracking speed at 1800dpi) Charge lasts me two days of 8+ hours of use (I work from home and game), and it charges overnight (about 5hrs).

I'm also using this mouse on a Mac (OS 10.5.7). You get full access to all buttons using something like Steermouse or USBOverdrive (as well as better acceleration control). If you want to custom program the mouse, you need to bootcamp or VM a Windows instance (I use parallels) and program it via the Windows software. The programs/config are then saved INTO the mouse and are active in OSX. I remapped the two DPI buttons to key-combos that I have set as shortcuts in OSX - giving me programmability for every button.

Pros:
Fantastic tracking and movement.
Great weight/physical dimensions, very comfortable (I have large hands)
Charges easily, charge lasts 2 days or so.
Fully programmable.
Can become corded if battery dies while in use by plugging in the USB cable.

Cons:
The highest price normal mouse out there.
The wired->wireless switch back doesn't always go smoothly if your compuer is on. (might take more then 1 try)
If you turn your computer off nightly, battery life will be a problem for you.
To use in OSX you still need a Windows machine to customize the mouse and update its firmware.......

I bought this controller to use with light Smmuulator X. It has alot of buttons and sliders some of sliders didn't work correctly. Secondly, the size shown in the pictures are deceptive cause these puppies are huge. If you have a small desk and screen it will be extremely difficult if not impossible to use them because they need to sit on a flat surface. In conclussion it wan't worth it to me. ......

I received this stick as a gift a few months ago. Finally had time to give it a spin and it is DOA. The 3 of the axis constantly jitter and fail to recenter when viewed in the control panel. Tested under XP and Vista with the same result. I wrote to Saitek about this, but I have received no response after 2 weeks.......

When I purchased my Flight Simulator Deluxe Edition, I chose to purchase these controls, as well. I wanted as real a feel as I could get with my gaming system. Well, at the time, they were the best on the shelf that I could find. Nothing else came close to these. The first few reviewers have explained the controls already. They are right on the money! I am using this mouse pad with a Logitech G9 mouse on a Mac Pro. It is amazingly sturdy and smooth, undoubtedly from the polished aluminum slab that constitutes the majority of this product. The wrist cushion is a nice a touch, but in light of its height, you have to make sure your seat is in the right position for perfect ergonomics.

My one request would be to create versions of these mouse pads that aren't so in-your-face gaming gear. The neon green letters in a wild font against a pitch black background may look great for someone into PC games, but it's definitely not for everyone. I understand this is marketed as a gaming mouse, but I personally would like to see a more elegant version in white (for Macs) or plain black with the lettering and colors toned down.

Otherwise, no complaints at all.......

This mouse pad offers more than I expected. The pad reverses and I use the "control" side but the speed side is great, too; depends what your needs or preferences are. I use it with the Razor gaming mouse and it's a fantastic combo. Highly recommended.......

What can I say? I paid $37 for a mouse pad and I am very happy about it. Don't get me wrong, when I received it, I asked myself how someone in good conscience could charge this much for what must cost $2 or $3 to make. But I charged ahead, cleared a extraordinary chunk of desktop real estate, placed the wrist pad and mouse plate down, placed my mouse, started a game, and WOW!

The only draw back is I will now need a bigger desk, so I have somewhere to put all my stuff (OK, work)

Going from a Belkin mouse pad for $10 to this one was a big upgrade, and it really does make a huge difference.

So little friction and the wide size of it makes the accidental drops outside the pad never occur again. The wrist rest could be a little bit softer and smoother, but if you don't use the wrist rest, I really have no issues with this at all.

Well worth the price.......

This pad is alright, but has more resistance in movement than I like. It also wears down till its about unusable even though it took a year or two. I am going to get a cloth pad from steelseries.......

Wish I could give less than one star. I couldn't get this product to work with Vista. I don't think it's compatible. Now, it works perfectly with my Xbox 360, but when I try it with my PC, nothing. I'm sending this piece of junk back. Now if you're running Windows 2000, XP, or if you have a Mac or game console, this may work perfectly for you. But as for us Vista users, don't bother, you're just wasting your time and money on an incompatible piece of garbage. ......

Similar to the real one but be sure to set it up on a desk or something as it would be very hard to have good control unless it`s pinned down on a desk so you can pull or push freely.......

Upgrading from a joystick to this yoke made such a huge difference that I was smiling from ear to ear the first time I used it - it just feels so much more realistic.

4 stars instead of 5 because the table clamps are too wide apart for clamping onto my 15mm thick Ikea desk. I stuck some rubber grips to the underside of the unit and that seems to have mostly solved the problem, although pulling too hard on the yoke occasionally dislodges it.

(A handy tip: If you are sitting on a chair with wheels, and try to use this yoke, you will lose control.)

Being an amateur with flight simulator I used a Joy Stick, then I heard about CH Products. I purchased this yoke and have never been happier. I received this product in perfect condition, took it out of the box, mounted it on my desk, plugged it into my computer and was flying. I'm very happy with the quality of this product and it has taken me to a new level of flying enjoyment.

I can say nothing bad about this yoke and if I need anymore toys I'm sure I will get them from amazon and CH. ......

I purchased this wonderful keyboard in 2005 and as of this product review, all is good. I use my Saitek mostly for emails and essays. When I decide to take a break for game time, I mostly use a mouse. I can understand that should a serious gamer use the Saitek Eclipse, specific gaming keys will certainly show signs of wear. Sweaty, Doritos encrusted fingers will in time destroy the silver finish on the Saitek keyboard. LOL. However, for the rest of us who simply want a nice, comfortable typing experience - I say buy this without hesitation. The beautiful blue back lit keys are a wonderful bonus when typing in low light conditions. Try it, you'll like it. Peace. ......

Great keyboard for the price. The blue light is really soothing at night but it doesn't show up all the keys real sharp. ......

If you type really quickly (over 110 wpm) you will find that this keyboard sometimes switches the characters you type around so that the leftmost character is registered first. Example: if I type "would have" quickly, I often get "woudl ahve" instead. Note that this is a reproducible glitch and has to do with poor hardware design of the keyboard itself, not with my style of typing--these glitches don't happen on my laptop's keyboard when I use it.

This keyboard also does not allow you to press 3 keys simultaneously for some combination of keys (for example, the keys r y u cannot be pressed at the same time. This also affects a few other keys that are used in FPSes, etc.)

My keys are pretty smudged, at the moment, the A,S,D,E,C,V,B,N,L,LEFT SHIFT,and space bar are barely readable. Also unless you are in a very dark room, the keys are easier to read with the LED turned off. As for operations, it works fine, no bad keys, no erratic behavior. This is why it pains me to get a new keyboard, but I can't take it anymore. I will probably keep it as a backup keyboard.......

I purchased this keyboard in January, and at first liked it quite a bit. The backlighting is accomplished by painting the keys silver, and leaving the letters bare so it shines through each letter. Unfortunately, within about a month one of the keys (A) had the paint so worn off as to be unreadable. This has since spread to 5 other keys, making it a mess to look at, and making the backlight worthless.
Contacted the parent company (Saitek in the UK), who referred me to their US counterpart, Madkatz. I've contacted them three times for either replacement keys or a replacement keyboard, to no avail. They claim everything from "we don't have keys" to "we will send replacements right out", and they never do.

Do not buy. You will regret the expenditure as soon as the keys begin to wear, and they will not back up their product. Very dissatisfied. ......

Happy with the product, NOT with the documentation. I haven't hit some of the compatibility glitches mentioned in other reviews, but have found the instructions for programming the controls dense and not real helpful. A glossary defining some of the jargon would be a welcome thing. Lots of trial and error have allowed me to begin to get a grip on the functions of the controls. I suspect my satisfaction will continue to increase as I experiment more. Both the Flight Yoke & the Rudder Pedals definitely need to be programmed to function correctly. I'm using MS Flight Sim X, flying the Grumman Goose, in Vista.......

Simple, yet effective. Operated right out of the box. Didn't need to use the CD that came with it, my PC loaded it no problem. A bit of confusion (mainly on my part) on the operation, but once I figured it out, what a blast. It mimicks the actual pedals/rudder function of the aircraft. Using MS X what a change from a joystick. I highly recommend this if you're a serious simulator junkie like me. My hats off to Amazon for selling a great product at a great price. ......

My Saitek Pro Flight Rudder Pedals just came in today. I selected next day air shipping, and they arrived, on time, just as Amazon promised. I've always had hassles when ordering products online, but this time I was very pleased. Amazon stuck to their word, and got my stuff to me right away.

Upon receiving my package, I quickly opened it up. The rudder pedals look very nice, and quite similar to those in many real aircraft. Though they are made of plastic, they are very strong and seem to be well constructed. I set them down by the couch and put my feet on them. I had to adjust the foot rests to the largest setting because I have such large feet. They fit my feet well in this position, with only the very tips of my toes slightly over the edge. They feel very comfortable barefooted, in socks, and even with shoes. However, they do have a tendency to slide on the floor if not secured. This was no problem for me, because they are resting against my wall now, under my computer desk.

The feel of the pedals is VERY nice and quite smooth. They are certainly not unlike those in a real aircraft. I'm currently training for my private VFR license, and these will be very nice to practice with. The tension adjustment knob is also very nice, and it makes adjusting your pedals to fit your preference very easy. You can really fine tune these things to get just the right feel. The toe brake motion also feels very smooth and precise.

I decided to try them out with IL-2 Sturmovik: 1946, probably my favorite combat sim, first. I simply plugged in the pedals, installed the drivers, and was ready to go. Once IL-2 booted up, I went into the HOTAS control section and assigned the pedal axises. My first flight was a little shaky, as I was not used to using the pedals. I kept feeling myself wanting to twist the joystick at first. But, after a few minutes, I began getting the hang of it. These pedals allow you to make VERY precise yaw inputs for crosswind corrections, coordinated turns, complex maneuvers, and sighting in that tricky adversary. I then landed my Messerschmitt Bf-109 perfectly, and was very impressed with the way these pedals handle on the ground. I had to go to the end of the runway, turn around, and make a few more takeoffs and landings just for the heck of it. It was a lot of fun, and feels very, very nice.

But, I was noticing that the position of my Saitek X-52 joystick (another GREAT product) was uncomfortable. So, I went out and built myself a small wooden stand. It positions my joystick firmly on top of a small plank, and it sits between my knees on a small post (just like the position of the stick in a real fighter). The throttle sits on the arm of my chair, and is also positioned correctly now. Once I sat down to play again, I was amazed at how much more realistic it felt. It really immerses you into the game at a totally new level, and it is very exciting. It is a little difficult, now that the "easy-mode twisty-stick" yaw is gone, but I'll get to where I can fly better than ever before in no time. These pedals and an X-52 stick+throttle will boost your game play to totally new heights. There is no way to compare them to a cheap "twisty stick".

Do NOT let the negative reviews turn you off to this wonderful product. I'm really confused as to how people are being so silly about these pedals. They do NOT lock up when you apply full rudder. The only way you will break these pedals is if you rough them up and slam your feet back and forth on them. If you try to fly like that, then you really aren't a good pilot, or you just have no clue what you're doing. There is NO reason to "dog out" a set of rudders pedals. I'm also laughing at the reports of people complaining about these pedals not working right in Microsoft Flight Simulator. It is VERY simple to set them up to work correctly. People were complaining that in MSFS, the brakes are always "half engaged". All one must do is open the control assignments, reverse each brake axis for the pedals, and adjust the sensitivity to your own preference. Yes, it's that simple... Reverse the brake axises for MSFS, folks! And don't forget to turn the "auto-rudder" feature OFF!

Overall, I was VERY pleased with both the product and the service from Amazon.com. I rated 5/5 stars because of this. These pedals will bring your flight sims into the 21st century, and make the game play MUCH more realistic, fun, and exciting. I suggest buying a Saitek X-52 Joystick+Throttle to compliment this wonderful package. You will never regret it!......

I have the Saiteck yoke and throttle set as well and all of the Saitek products have worked well. The rudder pedals were truly plug and play with my system. Which is an HP M8100N with 4 gig of DDR2 6400 ram and an Athlon 64 2X dual core running at 3.024 Ghz (OC). The pedals are well made and really really add to the sim expereince.......

I had high hopes for this because the family PC is in the same room as the tv and it would be nice to be able to use the keyboard in the dark. However, after only 2 weeks of light use the several keys and the spacebar just stopped working. I did a search online and apparently this is a common problem. I did not try a second one given the history. I'll wait until one of the major manufacturers comes out with a similar product.......

While the changing colors are cool and it seems to sturdy and far as data input ... so what is the BIG problem!?

The paint or what ever it is is quickly fading from my keys ... when I bought this key board I thought the letters were etched under the keys so the light would shine though ... Nope!

So far I can not read the R,T,I,O,P,A,S,G,H,K,L,C,B,N,M and the PERIOD.

While this is not a huge problem with me since I know the QWERTY keyboard reasonable well ... it is a BIG problem for my six year old son who is trying to learn to type, so much so I am thinking of just putting back an old Dell keyboard.

I absolutely hate this thing. I've owned it for 6+ months and use it for gaming and 3D work.
If anything touches the connecting wire, the mouse won't work properly. If the profile or DPI settings get switched (I finally learned to disable the buttons), it's very difficult to get back to the original mode -- sometimes restarting works.

Drivers haven't been updated in ages. Neither has the software, which is not exactly user-friendly.

I paid a premium for this thing when it first came out, and expected good things since the reviews of the time were raving. It's currently refusing to change ~any~ DPI/MHZ settings in the mouse, even though the software is properly set. I'm about ready to go back to an el-cheapo mouse rather than continue to deal with this piece of junk.......

This mouse is the best I have ever used. There is no lag, and is great for gaming or even just surfing the internet. My favorite parts of this mouse are the look and feel; its one great looking mouse, and it feels great. It does take some getting used to though, but that doesn't matter considering the overall quality of the mouse, and the option to program the actions of the buttons on the mouse which makes gaming easier. If you are a heavy gamer, this is the mouse for you.......

I purchased this mouse specifically for gaming. I am not a hardcore gamer, I just play on the days that my busy schedule allows. I would like to say it helps out me game considerably, but I am not able to say that. I have only owned this mouse for a month, and maybe I just haven't got the buttons down yet.
The appeal of this mouse was the extra buttons that could be programmed. The mouse I was using only had two programmable buttons, and he though of all the extra buttons that would allow me to be less tethered to my keyboard while playing. The buttons on the right side of the mouse are defaulted to "Profile switch". If I could imagine a more useless button, I don't know what it would be. The transition to the new profile leaves the mouse inoperable for several seconds. If you have enough games that you have time to play regularly that you need 5 different profiles, we can't relate and reading this post is a waste of your time.
I have two games that I play regularly, and I already have all game play actions tied to the same keys. The DPI on the fly I have enabled, but like fraps, I never utilize it when it would be useful.
Enough complaining. This is a really nice mouse. The form is difficult to get used to, but like learning to drive a stick shift, it is worth it in the long run. I can't say that my death to kills ratio has improved much, but it hasn't gotten worse.
Pros: Software is very good. I have heard complaints about it being buggy, it might be a little slow, but not buggy. The flexibility of the software is great. There is very little you can't change to suite your needs / fancy. The first button on either side and the main buttons press just right, not too hard or soft. It is worth the time to get accustomed to using.
Cons: Getting used to the new form factor of the mouse is painful. Like learning to drive a stick shift, but you wrist is the clutch. I almost gave up on it as tendonitis set in. I found with a couscous effort I could hold it correctly, I guess like taking off on a steep hill in a manual transmission. The second set of programmable buttons are really hard to get used to. I find that I push the back button opposite of the button I am trying to push because I am trying to get leverage. The weight, while very good, would be nice to have the ability to adjust like in similarly priced mice.
Will I trade down to my old mouse or try to learn a different mouse? Very unlikely. Would I buy this mouse again if it crapped out, at the price it is now, probably not.

The thing about 'gaming' hardware is that people are very very very picky. When I first decided to buy a mouse with a decent DPI I remember feeling like there was absolutely no choice because EVERY possible mouse had a good share of scaling negative "I'm a pro take it from me" reviews. I've owned a Razer Diamondback for about a year, at 1800 dpi. I loved it. It completely changed my online FPS performance (given that I'd been using a cheap wireless mouse before that). I got this Lachesis refurbished for cheap, but now that I've used it, if it broke because I stepped on it or something stupid like that I'd definitely spend $60~70 to replace it.

The buttons on the side: This is an ambidextrous mouse, meaning the buttons on the side are made so that they are easy to press with your thumb, so obviously on the other side of the mouse you don't have another thumb. Because you can use this as a lefty or a righty, one side of the mouse will have buttons that aren't exactly natural for your fingers to use. While this may be a 'con' the advantages gained in the excellent precision and high DPI greatly out-way this.

Hardware breaks, period. Especially this kind of hardware. The difference is that when someone breaks their logitech or microsoft or whatever cheapo mouse they don't immediately go write a negative review about it, whereas if their expensive gaming mouse breaks they get pissed real quick. This is the second Razer I've owned and it feels absolutely solid and I have no qualms about its quality. The advantage its given me to online gaming, just from switching from an already impressive older Razer, was evident in the first thirty minutes. Highly recommend, also remember to download the newest firmware. ......

I purchased this item to use to power my SNES unit. Unfortunately, when I went to play my favorite old games, there were large, blurry, green lines running down the screen. my father in law loves this keyboard. he got the WoW adapter keyboard for it too and really enjoys it. highly recommended for the avid gamer.......

I have been using this keyboard for years and love it. I use to avoid first person shooter games because I just couldn't get use to the WASD movement. My fingers would always slip off the keys and I would end up hitting the other keys and end up blowing myself up with a grenade ore something. That all changed when I found the Zboard. I love the butterfly pad on the left hand side that is set up perfectly for ease of movement and improved access to other important keys. The butterfly keys are large and slightly angled to keep your fingers in the proper position. This set up also works great for MMORPGs and man other games that allow WASD movement. The right hand two thirds of the board is a standard keyboard that you can use for typing. The gaming keyboard does not have a num-pad. Some thing had to go to make room for the butterfly pad. Also, there is no ~ key. I guess they ran out of room and figured that was the least used key. Quite a few games do use that key. They should have kept that and got rid of the Ins key. Who uses that? None of that is a real issue. If you need the total functionality of a full keyboard, you just have to swap out the gaming keyboard with the standard keyboard and you are good to go. It only takes 15-20 seconds to do.

One thing to note is that the keyboard requires that the drivers be installed. The keyboard will not function properly without them. Also, the keys are programmable through the software that comes with the board, but there is really no point in that. It is far easier to program the keys within the game itself.

The one premise that this keyboard was built around was the ability to swap out the keyboard with different key sets designed for specific functions. They have key sets that are specific to certain games and applications. In my opinion, you don't need any key sets other than what comes in this package. Every popular game that comes out gets a key set. Most are just the basic key set with with some artwork and keys labeled for specific functions. I really don't find it practical. The FPS ones are not bad, because they are designs are functional but, in most cases, once you set up things the way you like it on the default gaming board, you don't really need to have a specialty board. Most FPS games are set up pretty much the same way. I did get the DOOM 3 one packaged with the game. It did offer a slightly better setup specific to the game, but I could have easily w got by without it.

That said, the additional key sets they create for the MMORPGs seem completely worthless to me. Movement in those types of games are now more like the FPS games. I'm sure that there are still a lot of people in those games that use the arrow keys for movement instead of the WASD, but that is because they lack a better option. The butterfly pad is the perfect solution, but they don't design those boards that way. They basically give you a standard keyboard setup with colorful graphic of the game, and keys labeled for specific function, but it leave movement on the right hand side arrow keys. Movement on the right hand side is impractical. That is the mouse side. People have to reach across their body to use it. People use it that way on standard keyboards because they have to, but you would think that a keyboard designed for gaming would give the a better option. They are not even enhanced butterfly type keys, just the standard arrow keys. I don't understand this design at all and I find them completely useless. I use the standard gaming board that comes in this set for all my gaming.

They also make the MERC gaming keyboard, which I also own. In some ways it is designed a little better for gaming, but unfortunately some design flaws on that keyboard sent me back to my Zboard. ......

Do not try to register this product; the site doesn't exist. Don't go to their forums; the forums don't exist. Good luck in getting live support ... it doesn't exist.

This item is supposed to support media players (vs 6.4+). I never got mine to work (media player 11). Their troubleshooting tells you to uninstall and reinstall the program. If that doesn't work, then download it from the Internet, and uninstall the program and reinstall it from the file you downloaded. When I did this, the file I downloaded was deleted during the uninstall.

I spent over 3 hours installing and uninstalling, climbing behind my desk to plug and unplug the keyboard. I decided to check how the hot keys were set up to see if I could/should make the changes there. They don't include a paper manual, and when you click the hot key set up, it doesn't take you anywhere, just keeps displaying the same page. The information provided in there help menu is so thin, and doesn't explain how to do anything, that they shouldn't have wasted their time creating what little they had.

Went to their website. 15-20 minutes to try and find the how to get help. Submitted ticket for live support ... nothing happened. Finally returned it to Amazon. Don't waste your money, much less your time.

I never received this item from Amazon/Ritz Camera. I had to send 2 emails to even get an answer from Ritz, which was that it was not in stock. This happened 1 week before Christmas, and it was the top of my Grandson's wish list. Fortunately, I was able to find it elsewhere on line, and paid a fortune to have it delivered by Christmas. My Grandson loves it.
Recently, Ritz Camera called me to offer me a $15 gift certificate for my trouble, I told them thanks, but no thanks. Then they tried to persuade me to remove my reviews of them from Amazon's website. Not happening, what I said was true.

I've only had this keyboard for a few days, but so far, I love it! But, Logitech needs to make a non-gaming version. I bought it solely for the backlighting feature and don't really need/want the programmable buttons. So for my personal needs, that's a waste of 4" on the left. If you've got a desk with a pullout keyboard drawer that you also have your mouse on, you will find it VERY cramped.

What WILL take some getting used to, is how the key values are actually displayed.
As an example: A traditional "9" key shows the "(" directly above the "9". On the G11 keyboard, they try to get the two values closer to the middle (for illumination purposes, I imagine), so they've adopted more of an upper-left/lower-right configuration.

As others have mentioned as well, the "tilt" feature leaves something to be desired. The stubby fold-down legs don't elevate the back of the keyboard enough.

The illumination is pretty good, but some of the keys may appear a bit dim when viewed from an angle (they look just fine when you're looking directly down at them).......

This keyboard is a must for gamers~ It's backlit, comfortable to use, and the programmable keys on the side are my World of Warcraft keys. I was disappointed to find out that the newest version of this keyboard has LESS programmable keys.... NOW WAY! GET REAL! Why did Logitech do off with the extra keys? Made no sense...

Anywho, I own my one, and I purchased this as a gift for another WoW gamer. Love at first type also.

Cons: it is a rather *small* keyboard. You'll have to get used to the "squished" feeling at first. ......

I do not use the keyboard for gaming. I use it for wordprocessing and graphics. The touch and feel of the keyboard is quite good with strong tactical feedback. The subtle mechanical "clatter" provides audible feedback. The backlit keys are a joy when working in low light levels. Creating and assigning macros is very easy, and works well.

The audio controls work well, particularly the volume control which rotates (like an old fashioned rheostat) to more easily and precisely control the volume (just swivel it with your index finger). The "speaker" on/off button is especially appreciated when surfing websites with loud annoying music which cannot, or cannot easily, be turned off.

Tips on use

Although it may seem logical to just start using the macro recorder with the "default configuration" profile, resist the temptation. You cannot import/export macros across profiles. Nor can you rename the "default configuration" profile to a specific program profile. So, it is important to specify a profile name for the program you are using. It is very easy to create a new profile: From the keyboard window (labeled "Logitect G-Series Keyboard Profiler") menu, just select "profile", then "new", and enter any appropriate name, usually the program name. That's all. You do not need a "description" nor to "select game executable". (If you "select game executable" the profile will automatically change when you change programs.) If you do not "select game executable", then you can select the appropriate profile manually when you change programs. Actually, in many cases it may be advantageous to have several profiles for the same program, depending on the task (e.g., MS Word-letters, MS Word-legal documents), or if there are multiple users using the same program (e.g., MS Word-John, MS-Word-Elaine). The only way you can have multiple profiles of single programs is to select the profiles manually. The point being: don't be freaked by the "select game executable" option.

Although the instructions for creating macros seem clear, and there seems to be multiple ways of doing most things, I've developed my own procedure which seem simpler: Manually select the appropriate profile. With your program running full screen, (so that you can confirm the actions selected), press the "MR" key to turn recording on, then press the "G" key you want to assign the macro to, then enter the macro keystrokes, and finally press the "MR" key again to save the macro. When you are satisfied that the macro is working properly, then name it. To name a newly created macro from the keyboard window (labeled "Logitect G-Series Keyboard Profiler") menu, choose "Edit", then "macro manager", then click on the temporary name "quick macro", "edit" type in a new name).

Once named, you can rearrange the macros if desired---just click on the macro name on the keyboard window, select "assign macro", and choose the macro you want for that key. Changing the macros assigned to the keys does not destroy the old macros formerly assigned to the keys. The old macros are still available, and can be assigned to other keys.

Caveats:

The descriptions of functions on the box and the enclosed written instructions are worthless. The built-in help is pretty good. However, the help instructions often refer to consulting an LCD screen which is incorporated into some models, but not into this one. Such instructions are potentially confusing.

The description, "3 key light levels" is a bit misleading, because one of those "levels" is "off". I use only the brightest level. If left "on", the backlight turns on when the computer boots, and "off" when the computer is shut down.

The key labels are very small, much smaller than on my default HP keyboard. Larger labels would be more legible. The backlighting washes out at high ambient light levels and the labels are dark grey on black, and therefore difficult to see in bright light. This is not a significant problem--but I'd suggest cheaper non-backlit models if you do not plan to use the keyboard in a bright ambient light environment.

The key labels are all blue (except for the three yellow "M" keys). It might be more functional if different groups of keys were different colors, at least for the "central keyboard". For example, the home keys (a, s, d, f, j, k, l, ;) might be green, alphanumeric keys blue, control keys (tab, caps lock, shift, cntl, windows, alt, backspace, \, enter etc.) yellow, and the escape key red.

The two USB ports are only 1.0, which is okay for mice, joysticks, and other controllers, but not for data transfer.

Notes to manufacturer:

It would be handy if "quick macros" could be renamed on the keyboard window, without having to open "macro manager". Similarly, it should be possible to name a new profile by choosing "new profile" from the "current profile" window.

I would appreciate an optional, preferably repositionable, compact menu bar reflecting macro assignments as an alternative to the "keyboard profiler" window takes up nearly ½ of the screen horizontally and vertically, and cannot be resized.

It would be handy if there was an option "import macros from default profile", or better yet "import macros from an existing profile"

It would be nice if there was a "scan for other programs" in addition to the "scan for games" option--since many users, like me use the keyboard for applications other than games.

The default assignments of the upper two rows of G keys is are the "functions keys" 1 to 12. It would be more functional to assign these to the lower two rows, because this would make one-hand "shift-alt-F11" etc. combinations (which may be so defined in some programs) possible.

Nice keyboard except for the backlit keys. The keys are very hard to see most of the time and require a desk lamp to truly illuminate them. I would never purchase this unit again given the chance.......

The action of the left crtl key was always strange - it seemed 'notchy'. This was ok - I would have given the keyboard 4 stars based on that. However, after 14 months, the enter key stopped working. Sure, there is another enter key on the numeric keyboard, but a high-end keyboard should last longer than mine did. ......

This product is a zboard keyset. The description and even the title of the product says that it is the keyset. If you don't know what a keyset is, then you really shouldn't buy it. It is NOT a keyboard, I'm not sure how anyone could confuse it for one.
It is an insertable keyset for the zboard.

It is 2/6/2008 right now and the zboard software recognizes it as a wrath of the lich king keyset. It even shows the nice Lich King background when you view the keyset in the software.

In short, it is exactly what it says it is, and it works just like it's supposed to work.......

CD accompanying product can't be read/loaded because it's designed for PC. Nonetheless, functions can be manually entered and Mac users will better enjoy many of the racing games out there. Love the force-feedback. Mechanism for clamping unit to desk isn't very strong and I broke mine on the second day (it's plastic). Still, my kids love what features that are available, so we're relatively happy. Bottom line: recommended if you're tired of playing racing games on keyboard and long for greater functionality. I bought this wheel for Toca Race Driver 3 and it works great! It was a plug and play situation with my macbook pro. The pedals have good response but no clutch pedal. However, for the money the wheel and pedals are worth it.......

While I am normally a huge fan and consumer of Logitech products, this MOMA wheel was a serious disappointment. In short, it looks fantastic, but the steering wheel spring mechanism is very weak and broke after only 10 hours of fairly gentle play (Lego Racers over three days) by my nine-year old. The mechanism is not accessible or repairable by the consumer, so, that's one wasted wheel. Try another product, avoid disappointing your kids.

This is a comfortable headset, and nice when it works. However from day one I have had issues with crackling sounds speakers cutting in and out due to broken cables. I was not provided with any warranty information or receipt. So despite fast delivery I am left with a headset that doesn't work up to standard considering the price.

Got a pair for my wife, and she loves it. Sound and build quality are good.

That said, I can't use them. Being 6'2" and with a reasonably large head, the stretchy adjustment strap gets pulled to the limit, which causes the bottom of the ear piece to lift or at least apply less pressure than the top, which feels weird.

Also, as a matter of personal preference, the ear pieces don't press against your head with much force. My wife likes that they don't press hard and thus won't hurt her ears over time, whereas, I don't want the headphones to feel "loose" (as compared to the Steelseries V4/V5).......

I was extremely excited to get this headset, and had been since I first saw it. I've always wanted to get one of the "pro", headsets after seeing them at a LAN and thinking how nice they were, and comfortable.

Well, they're good lookin', but that's about it. The right ear piece has a mind of its own, it will not work and when it does, it does a sloppy job and has terrible sound quality.......

The mic quality is good, the mic being stuck on a wire that hangs from your head is bad.
They're reasonably comfy but look horrendously large and ungainly.......

I like the size and shape very well. The programmable buttons make this mouse good for most apps. The 'always' on feature is great for my games, response is very good . I would buy it again and on Amazon the price was excellent. ......

I owned a Deathadder mouse before this one and that one kicked the bucket so I needed a cheaper mouse since I didn't want to pay fifty bucks for another. The Habu costed thirty dollars and shipping was free so it sounded like a good deal from the reviews. The problem I did run into was the exact same with my Deathadder software which had to be downloaded from the Razer site to work with Vista. The mouse will work when you plug it in but the features won't until you figure out the software and update. The mouse itself works fine now and plenty fast since I am currently running dual monitors and need a fast mouse. The setup and feel of the mouse is the exact same as the Deathadder as well which is something I really enjoyed. Overall though the software is bad the mouse itself is a great product.

Update:
If I could go back I would give this mouse three stars since the mouse wheel all of sudden started squeaking really bad. It is really loud and I have no clue how this happened since I dont really use it much.......

I bought the Microsoft Habu mouse to replace a malfunctioning Logitech G5 which decided to spontaneously turn itself off at random moments. Ergonomically, it's a solid, comfortable mouse to rest your hand on and particularly visually striking with a neon-blue light pipe running around the edge and also the wheel (this can be disabled if needed). The mouse comes with an alternate set of side buttons, but after playing around with both I found it more of a gimmick then honestly finding an real need to change them out from the original. The mouse sensor appears to be on-par with Logitech's, though it's located low on the mouse body and tends to cause lower sensitivity with certain wrist movements.

As with the G5, it has two buttons located below the wheel to adjust sensitivity on the fly. Unfortunately, it's missing the indicator LEDs of the G5, so switching is rather hit-and-miss (it certainly took me more then one tap on the button to change between settings) until you see a noticeable change in cursor performance on-screen.

It's also rather light. Without the additional weight to counterbalance, it's harder to fine tune control for twitch heavy applications, particularly FPS's. Rather then adjusting the mouse quickly, I found myself fiddling with programs mouse sensitivity options instead.

Having used both, I'd recommend the G5 over the Habu.......

First, the retailer offering this mouse through Amazon was VERY prompt. Free shipping and the mouse was here within three days which included a weekend! Props to Amazon and their network of retailers.

I own 2x Razer Copperhead mice, 1x Razer Diamondback, 1x Logitech G5, 1x Microsoft Intelli Explorer 3.0... and a few others. Of all these mice, IMO the Intelli Explorer 3.0 is THE MOST comfortable. I haven't been using it for the past 2 years because of the low DPI. In a dual screen work config, the high dpi laser mice allow for fast mouse movement with little hand movement.

Enter the Habu. The Habu is close to the Intelli Explorer 3.0 with the speed of the copperhead. Although it's not quite as comfortable, it's much much much better than the G5, and a little better than the copperhead.

The Habu offers fast mouse speeds and good comfort while not requiring a wrist pad. Solid mouse at a very attractive price.

BTW. Over a 2 year period I've had 1x Razer and the G5 die. Both companies offered a replacement HOWEVER both required I return the mouse to them for replacement. The one Microsoft item that failed, a sidewinder joystick, was replaced WITHOUT me sending it back to Microsoft. Microsoft's customer care, in my experience, is second to absolutely no one. If you purchase Microsoft's retail products you can expect a level of customer service usually only found in fairy tales. This truth is not said often enough.......

Recently bought the Habu gaming mouse and i must say I am not dissapointed. The tracking is the smoothest I have ever experienced and the sensitivity is adjustable, so you can be pin point accurate on your game. I highly recommend picking this up. ......

I've owned a Pro Gamer Command Unit (Cyborg) since 2007. My husband tried it and discarded it. I couldn't use it because I was on a Mac then and they don't provide Mac support. Switched to a PC for gaming and thought I'd give it a spin. There are Vista 64-bit drivers and software, but Saitek in their great wisdom changed the file format for the game profiles and never updated the premade game profiles to be compatible. The software they provide is too complicated looking and too time consuming to mess with (I've worked in tech support since 1988, so yes, I'm computer literate) - particularly without pre-made profiles to edit and the help files are completely *unhelpful* if you want to program it for an MMO (I play WoW).

I tried signing up for their support forums back in January and again today. Every e-mail I try, even with a newly created g-mail account mind you, I'm told that the e-mail address has been banned by the administrator so I can't sign up. I've never been banned from an online forum in my life, and I certainly couldn't have offended anyone if I'd never posted before. Back in January I sent a tech support e-mail - I'm still waiting for a response. Sent another one today (it's nearly August) DARING them to show someone exists who cares - and that profiles exist for this stupid thing - but I'm not optimistic.

Logitech makes a controller these days and I can say from experience that THEY have great tech support. If I were you, I'd give their controller a look and Saitek's a pass. The only reason I won't is because none of the local stores have one on display for me to play with and I have small hands. As the Saitek is the second controller bought for my household that sat and gathered dust (we had a Nostromo and we didn't like it either), I'm just going to have to "old school" it.

If i built a cyborg, i definitely wouldnt use cheap plastics. Although the fancy colors are nice on picture they remind of me of some bad disco videos ive seen on VH1. It didnt install well either, after the first couple times trying to install it and it crapping out in the middle of installation i junked it, yet again increasing my carbon footprint.......

I had a stroke and it took my right side away, I love to play computer games so my job became finding a good way to do it. Three controllers fit into my plans Saitek Cyborg Command Unit, Belkin n52te, and Logitech G13. The Logitech is truly a great unit and there forum is fantastic ([...]) and the Belkin n52te is a close second. There both laid out excellently and are comfortable to use. The Saitek is half the price of the other two is laid out well but is not as robust.
The Saitek does one thing that the other two do not; it mimics the mouse movements to a tee. I bought it.

I purchased Cyborg Command Unit to replace my aged Nostromo N52 for my new-built computer back in May 2008. I found that this device was superior to N52 with more soft buttons, mini joystick instead of old-time D-pad, and good performance. I used it on FPS PC games such as Oblivion, Star Wars Battlefront II, Orange Box, and GTAIV for many times. However, profile software is not friendly as N52's. It required fairly learning curve to create profiles. Unlike N52 software, I have to launch the profile manually before start game. So I used third-party gaming profile software instead for better features.

Only reasons I gave this device two stars are that device started to malfunction after 8-10 months of gaming. I been emailed tech support for days, asking for a replacement as Saitek's 1-year warranty said, yet I got no response from them after I sent last email. I was so angry with them for not sent me a replacement. Same to official forum, I registered for help but not able to log in without administrator permit and got my account deleted twice!

I never purchasing other device from Saitek again after troubles I was through with.......

My main complaint about this controller is that when a key is pushed to move my player, regardless of direction, it will continue to drift after the key has been released and will only stop after another key is depressed. This is completely unexceptable. I've been using it for about six months now and am fed up. I think it's high time to purchase a Belkin unit. ......

I bought this joystick, along with Flight Simulator X, after I attended a summer camp at a local museum and realized how much flight sims were. After searching Amazon, I found the joystick and throttle set they used: the Thrustmaster Cougar, and it cost a whopping $186. Needless to say, I went with the Logitech joystick. I'm quite impressed with it. The buttons are very 'clicky', and it does feel a little cheap, but you get what you pay for. Also, I wish the throttle had more friction, but it's not a big problem. Flight Simulator X auto-configured it when I plugged it in, no drivers required. Highly recommended if you want a good, cheap joystick.

Also, props to Amazon for getting it here so fast. I ordered it Sunday and it got here early on Tuesday. And that isn't with Two-Day Shipping, that's with FREE Super Saver Shipping. :D......

I bought this controller and am quite pleased with it's reaction time and multiple button assignment. I mostly play racing and third-person games with it. It works great with 'Mashed', 'LOTR Return of the King', 'Star Wars: Rogue Squadron', etc. It doesn't lose button functionality quickly through hard-core use. It is for right-handed users only but has a comfortable hand-rest for long game-play time. I've used it practically every day since I bought it and it still is working fine. You may need to clean the gunk 'round the buttons from dirt, grime, or dust ever-so-often but so far it hasn't given me any trouble. I would recommend this controller for beginner gamer's and experts alike. The buttons are in a comfortable formation and easy reach access, especially when trying to press two buttons at once.......

I have owned two of these Joysticks, I have worn them both out. I have used the second one for over 100 hours before it became unusable from lack of response and accuracy.

First we will cover the good points.
-Nice looking Joystick.
-Very Ergonomic for Right-handed players.
-Buttons and Hat are well placed for short, quick movements.
-Throttle is smooth and precise, useful for chopper pilots.
-Stick movement is fairly precise and evenly tensioned in x, y and z axis. (Z Axis is the twist rudder).

Now the important bad points.
-Loses calibration after a short period of time. How much you use it, dictates how soon it loses its precision and accuracy. I noticed it on takeoffs playing Battlefield 2, I would start drifting to one side of the runway requiring some hard rudder to compensate and not crash.

-Button 2, on the thumb rest, stopped producing a sharp click feeling after a few weeks. Important for me, as I used it for dropping bombs/shooting missiles.

Summary: If it wasn't for this losing precision and accuracy issue, I would highly recommend this joystick. But let's face it, when you are on the other guy's six and you want to smoke him with the nose gun, you need a joystick that lets you put the bullets in his tailpipe for more than the first few weeks of use.

I am going to try a Saitek AV8R as a replacement . . .

This stick was purchased to use in a 4-H competition running Microsoft "Flight Simulator". It replaced a Logitech "Extreme" stick purchased several years ago for $60 and did not use USB ports. It performed more accurately, felt "tighter" and had better "feel" than the older one did when it was new. The kids love it and, of course, the AMAZON service made it a pleasure to purchase!......

This is probably the only joystick that really works for Vista 64,I tried other joysticks without success. This joystick also has many programable buttons very usefull for Flight simulator etc. The best joystick hands down. ......

This is a great mouse. Originally, I went to a local store and tested the gaming mice they had. I was interested in the MS Sidewinder. But the sidewinder thumb buttons weren't under my thumb with a normal grip. So I took a chance and ordered this... It's perfect. The first thumb button is directly under my thumb, but because of the mouse design and how it allows your thumb to rest on the extension below the button there is no worry about pressing it accidently. Most of the other mice that tested also had thumb buttons that weren't easily usable with my normal grip. This has been the best mouse I've ever used. Highly recommended.......

This mouse moves accurately, runs without a driver, and is more comfortable than the G5, G9 and Death Adder (yes I do own all of them). Simply the perfect mouse. The only thing they could do better is the scroll wheel having the lean left and right buttons like the G5/G9. If you are looking for a cheaper gaming mouse look no further. I wish I'd found this before buying the others! No problems with acceleration (once you have properly tweaked windows)

The program enclosed on the cd is used to set the two dpi settings, once you have done that you no longer need it. I have mine set to 400/1600.

This is a must have if you want a precise mouse for fps bliss!

NOTE: (added later) On some surfaces the lift off distance may be too high. Paired with the SteelSeries I-2 this isn't a problem. ......

If I were to only rate this product's preformance and comfort, it would definitely be a 5-star. The only reason I gave it 4-stars is beacause of the limited driver and not many customiazable functions.......

I have been using mices like razer copperhead , IE 3.0 , Deathadder whcih are one of the best mices for FPS games or especially Counter Strike . It has no auto correction so It helps you when you reduce the recoil and increases spray accuracy. Has better feeling than Deathadder . Design is tight nothing to comlain about.If you are CS or CSS player this is the mouse that is better than any other now! Just to let you guys know that ......

I got this for my wife to use on her computer and two weeks into owning this keyboard the right shift key stopped working. About a week after that the down arrow stopped working and the number 2 above the q and w keys popped off.

My wife takes extremely good care of her things and for this keyboard to have this type of issue speaks volumes for the apparent lack of quality that Razer is putting into their keyboards. I have a Logitech Illuminated keyboard that is worth every penny I paid for and its been dropped off the desk, had coffee spilled in it and it still works like a charm.

Trying to get Razer to issue an RMA has been a nightmare. I have copies of all emails and RMA request's sent and email replies from Razer support asking me to try the keyboard on another computer when it was clearly stated that the number 2 keycap popped off.

Overall it has taken me more than 10 emails to Razer to get the RMA.

I would definitely stay away from the Razer keyboards as it's also been noted on other hardware sites that they have a lot of known issues with this product.......

like many reviewers said before, when you switch off the back lit, you can barely see the letters on the board. but if you kept the light on, soon you eye will feel kind of dizzy.

VERY DISAPPOINTING:
the gaming cluster allows for multiple key presses, but only allows 4-5 keys simultaneously, and K, L ... are not part of it. This means if you press S and D and hold, then the keyboard won't respond if you press K or L. So you can't play games like KOF, PES on this board. Razer must use very cheap chips on this product, which sounds very strange for a gaming keyboard at this price.

I recently bought the diamondback 3g mouse which actually worked but the Lycosa keyboard is just a keyboard that has keys that light up colors. The top right "tough-pad" of my keyboard never worked and going through tech support was a joke; keep sending you back to their FAQ page. Hope if you actually buy this that yours might work.........

all well done by razer, except for the media touch keys they do not work watsoever.

Purchased solely for the smooth, clean, back-lit keys and it's gotta be the best one on the market for that sole purpose. However, I would opt for the NON-mirrored version available instead. The mirror finish on this is nice, but gets dirty so easily. Otherwise, no complaints!......

The software seems great - comprehensive, well put together, interactive feedback. On a Mac, however, you can't hear the Midi keyboard unless you turn the volume very high. When you do this, the software's movies and verbal instructions are way too loud. The company told me this is a known bug - shame on them for releasing the product when they knew about this and not doing more to repair the bug. They say the next release, in mid 2010, might fix the bug.......

I'm a piano instructor who teaches a once a week high school keyboard class. I've started recommending Emedia to my students as a great at home piano program. As an instructor, I really like the step by step approach to the lessons. The video are very helpful in demonstrating techniques between lessons. Kids that are using the program progress a lot faster than those that don't. This is a fine program either for those that want to learn on their own or that are also taking lessons.......

I'm getting more into comuter music and through some keyboard chops were in-order to bang out music with a sequencer. This is a great program for learning the fundementals. I hooked it up with my M Audio keyboard controller and it gives me feedback on my playing. Setting it up with the keyboard was no harder than any other USB device. The method itself is very good and includes popular song to play along with.......

It does not even work on my computer. It will not work with any other keyboard other that the one that comes with the complete, plus nothing seems to work with Vista. Do not buy this product......

I wouldn't recommend this product to anyone. I am a beginner and this software hasn't helped me advance at all. ......

The first stck delivered did not work properly. The twist function did not work. With some minor trouble shooting Logitech sent a new one immediately.......

This joystick was my first (and last from Logitech).
I cannot recommend this Product for the following reasons:
1) Mechanical connection for Force Feed-back is Intermitant,as best.
2) "button 11" works when it wants to.
3) Gives false inputs until it warms up by hand.
4) Force sensitivity cannot be calibrated (none to'stirring gravel')
5) Cannot cancel out 'rudder shimmy'
PROS:
1) solid,sturdy base.
2) It hasn't caught fire yet.

I've had this stick for a while now (a couple of years I guess); it's been excellent. Playing CFS3, Heroes of the Pacific for the most part. Hadn't played much for a while until recently, and now I come back to it it seems that it's no longer smooth (hence the missing star); this also makes it hard to keep it nicely centred. I guess it's just seizing up from not being used enough ;-)

I can't begin to understand how some of the others here are saying there's not enough feedback - could be that they haven't got it set up right (feedback level is customisable), that Logitech have come up with the most variable manufacturing process in history, or that those complaining of this are insensitive brutes. Whatever, it's been perfect for me - until it's begun to get sticky as mentioned above. Still perfectly usable with force feedback turned off (or no power to the stick) though.

Seeing the poor reviews here has actually prompted me to do one for the first time, I've liked my stick that much :-)......

I have been gaming for a long time now, and this by far is the worst joystick i have ever used. The force feedback on this joystick is nothing. If you are thinking of getting this, DON'T!!! When i read the reviews, i thought these people knew what they were talking about. They obviosly didn't. When i loaded the software into my computer, (I'm running off of vista) and tested it out, i could barely feel anything. I used to have a Microsoft Sidewinder with force feedback, and that was amazing. It was the best joystick i ever had. The pro force was not well made. when i pluged the powerpack in, it would not stay in the outlet because it was so loose. And when i pluged the other end into the joystick, it kept falling out too. The reciever was too big. The sensitvity was way too high. There was no dead zone at all. And when i tried to calibrate it, it didn't do anything. So to sum this all up,

My reliability experiences notwithstanding, while it is decent for the price, and probably fine for a ps3 user, if you are playing flight sim on pc, spend the extra $70-$120 and get yourself a Saitek X52 Flight Control System or Saitek X52 Pro Flight System Controller, It's worth it. However, the thing to note is this stick's reliability. It worked fine for a couple weeks, but then it started disconnecting itself. While mid flight I would hear the "DeDo!" tone of a disconnecting usb, and the stick, still plugged in, would go dead, requiring me to pull it out, plug it back in, and then restart the game. It got to a point were this happened every few minutes, rendering it completely useless. ......

This little guy has a fair price and pretty inexpensive, yet I don't feel it is a true flight stick/sim stick and I will tell you why. It's quite simple there is only two ways to fly with this thing: one, you have to maneauver this flight stick to one extreme; second, you have to maneauver this flight stick to the other extreme. There does not seem to be anything in the middle or low maneauvering. I don't believe it is sensitive enough to use as a true flight stick: at least not this one. Yes, it is inexpensive for a PS3 flight stick but since I am not going to waste time or any more money trying to figure out which flight stick will be best to use for me, I think I will quit while I am still ahead and will not experiment to find the perfect one; the end and good luck trying to find the right flight stick for yourself: wish they had the MS flight controller for the PS3.........

Nice, solid, well-built feel with good control response. It works well as advertised on the PS-3, haven't tried it on a PC. Programming the buttons, however, is a real pain with poor documentation.

Let me start by saying that I'm no audiophile. I don't care if my home stereo or home theater can deliver music in 5.1 ultra surround or whatever and I've been content with my "el cheapo" headset for gaming and general computer use.

But when it finally broke, I followed a friend recommendation and bought the Steelseries 5H USB and it feels like a veil had been lifted from my face (or ears in this case). I had no idea games could sound so beautiful. I can hear each of the little bells that sound in the background when casting a healing spell or hear with almost pinpoint accuracy where is that zombie approaching from.

The microphone works great and the fact that is retractile is nice. The headset itself is comfy and big enough to cover my freakishly large ears completely without giving me a headache after a few hours of usage.

I'll be the first to admin that it is not inexpensive (you can get a Logitech for about a fourth of the price). But if you can afford it, and your primary use is games, you can't go wrong with a SteelSeries.......

This product does, in fact, work flawlessly with the Macintosh.
The headset well designed and sturdy, yet surprisingly light even when worn for many hours. I had worn Sony headsets before that were heavy on my head and squished my ears, but not these... They wear as tho they are lighter than they are.
The sound quality is superb. While audiophiles and sound freaks out there will poo-poo this and that, the vast majority of us will be delighted with the output, even with music. Previous reviews had my expectations low about music, and 'movie' quality but it turns out that they are just weird. For you, me, the sound output has a great range and diversity... from gaming, to Skype, to movies, music, or all at once. This headset doesn't miss a beat (bad pun, sorry).
As for the mic, I was personally dubious about the quality and flexibility of a retractible mic. These were unfounded. The mic is extremely flexible is every direction on a protected wire-wrap that holds it's shape well. The hard plastic mic cover can be removed for cleaning easily. And most important, is the mic quality. Using this headset over Vent, Skype, and TeamSpeex (TeamSpeak for Mac), the feedback from my guildies, friends, family, is that this headset provides cellphone quality speech. Not CD, or Blue-Ray quality but was impressive enough to have several people buy this headset based on that alone.
Finally, despite SS's claims that the USB soundcard isn't compatible with Mac OS, it is. Apple Mac OS 10.5 and up will recognize the USB soundcard in the System Perferences -> Sound, for both input and output. It will also absorb the CPU cycles for sound to itself. The only catch is that the driver disk and any driver updates from SteelSeries are for Windows only. That catch is minor however, I wouldn't trade this headset for any other!
Tested on PBG4 1.5, MBP 2.8......

My first thoughts about this product when I received it was that it looked like a quality build.
The wires are braided and have a nice touch to it, and the connections are gold plated. The cushions are very comfortable, and I have tried wearing it for 10+ hours straight without any soreness, it also feels like I'm not even wearing the headset.
The sound quality when playing ingame are better than anything else I have tried, but when I play music, I would often hear static when I turn up the volume.
What I don't like about this product is that the cushions cannot be removed to be cleaned and the static when playing music with it, but other than that I think this is a great buy!

OMG, they feel and sound wonderful!

How do I love thee? Let me count the ways.

1. They *don't* squash my ears! (I have a big head and ears)

2. They're light and comfortable!

3. They're strong!

4. They sound grrrrrrreat!

5. I can plug them into a USB port or my soundcard!

6. They easily come apart for transport!

7. They're (virtual) 7.1 speakers!

8. I can hear things in BF2 and in music tracks I never heard before!

9. The cord has an extension in the middle you can remove!

10. You can use the software interface to customize the speaker and subwoofer locations!

11. The microphone stows in the left earpiece out of the way! :-)

For those who complained about listening to music, just move the speakers closer in the setup. Sounds great! Also, use the equalizer in WinAmp or WMP to increase the bass, treble, etc, if you like.

If you are hemming and hawing about the price, they are very well worth it.

I had Turtle Beach 5.1 headset and I had to strrrretch the metal bands to make it not crush my head. Even then, my ears were squashed FLAT, and boy did they hurt.

Just get 'em.

I draft upwards of 6 hours per day and began experiencing tingling in my wrist. I tried various wrist rests and a special mouse pads to no avail. This mouse is wonderful and a great value at less than half the price of similar items. Since I have been using this mouse, the dull ache in the back of my hand has gone away. Also, it fits so naturally in your hand that it took no time at all to get used to. I am loving it!......

The joy pen has the right word in the title WOW. It's really awesome I just got mine today and I'm trying it out for the first time all of 10 minutes and it works really well. I had trouble with my shipment initially UPS didn't provide me with my shipment - said they left it at my front door but I never received it. I contacted the seller and they sent me another one via USPS took only 2 days to get it the second time. The seller was also very polite and understanding when I explained that I didn't receive the initial shipment. No extra charges. The fit of the joy mouse on my hand is great. I have fairly small hands or maybe average size and it works well for me. I've already figured out what the thumb buttons are for backwards and forwards thru web pages and it's much much more comfortable on my wrist which was starting to hurt from the regular mouse. The angle is great. I use with mouse rest and it feels right.
Its a little small, but I am use to using a smaller mouse.
The main draw back is on mine the click pressure is high it gives a loud click and you know you clicked because you have to push it hard, like now its time to click if you follow me. For a ergo mouse a feather click would have been great. No drivers needed all buttons work. I am using two mice at one time now, no problem.

I may click with left hand on old mouse and guide on right hand with new mouse. Or get a track ball for left hand. The main problem is most keyboard drawers do not give the room for that set up. Maybe the click will loosen up? I hope so, as the click sends a "message" through my wrist I am not liking at the moment.......

The foremost thumb button was dead on my Wow Pen Joy, right out of the box.

I find it a bit small for my average-sized hand (I *just* require a large in gloves). It's difficult for me to reach the thumb buttons without repositioning my hand on the mouse.

The mouse has a general feeling of cheapness. Try the Evoluent VM3R2-RSB Vertical Mouse 3. I've been using one for a couple of days (and a large-size Contour Design Perfit Optical Mouse, Medium Right). So far, I prefer the Evoluent.

With better construction and a larger size, this could be a nice mouse.......

With the least amount of force, these drum sticks break in half at the point where the plexiglass ends and the handles begin. They lasted less than a half hour. You want to get the version that is solid plexiglass with the batteries inserted at the very end. Those last forever (much better than a 1/2 hour). Do a google search and you can find them for around the same price.......

I bought these sticks to use with my Rockband drums. Not a good idea. These are heavy sticks. I like a lite touch with my Rockband drums. The handle holds two AAA batteries. The stick srcews into the handle. This causes the stick to vibrate and produce noise when striking an object, even soft objects. The LEDs are cool though.

This product produces a very limited light off the actual drum stick....so small that I returned the product. Too bad it doesnt light up like the picture shows. Ended up to be totally worthless and had to return product. Product was not defective......just not as described.......

My husband and I were really excited to use these Illuminated Drum Sticks for our Rock Band 2 ion drums. The only problem was they broke about 15 minutes into game play.

Be sure to read the instructions carefully before you the batteries in these things! It's a tad bit more complicated then just jamming the batteries in.......

First the positives...
The sound itself, is great for gaming, with excellent deepness, especially with explosions, etc. I would not use them for music listening, but that is not what they are intended for anyway.

Now the bad...
The surround sound 'effect' is VERY poor. I had an old pair of Kinyo surround headphones that finally broke and I needed to replace. Because of them, I know that you really can get true surround effects when the headphones have REAL SEPARATE speakers for the various surround channels.

These TekNmotion headphones are really just 'stereo' with a subwoofer (2.1). They instead use software to pretend they are surround sound. Because of this, you really can't distinguish if the sound is in front or from behind. This defeats the whole purpose of why I bought surround headphones to use with First Person Shooters, which was to easily tell which direction enemies approach.

Moral of the story: For Gaming with real surround, stick with headphones that have PHYSICALLY separate drivers for front and back surround, like the Turtle Beach or the old Kinyo's I had.......

The "Pulsar" headset from TekNmotion was my third headset within one year. The first two were just cheap headsets from Wal-mart. After spending about $40 on two headsets, I finally realized that you "get what you payed for."

The Pulsar headset is, by far, one of the best headsets I've ever had the pleasure of using. The vibration feature sounds "hilarious" at first, but once you get into using the headset, it's actually really cool. Playing music through the headset alone feels as if you have a high-quality sound system in your room. Gaming with this beast is an even better experience as the vibration can really put you "into" the game.

The lights are fancy, but unless you're going to a LAN party, no one will really see them, including yourself. That's not a problem, however.

The size of the headset might scream "Ouch!" to some people who might think it "clamps" to your head, but the entire top of the headset is a thick padding, along with the sides around where they headset touches your ears. Even though the headset is a tad larger than your normal headset, it feels incredibly light on your head while still having that "expensive" weighty feeling to it.

The detachable microphone is a nifty idea (even though I just keep in the headset) that could allow you to plug the mic into a normal jack if you really wanted to. Another small, but helpful feature is the marks on each side of the headset where it "extends" in length. There's 12 notches on each side noting how "far" out the headset is extended. This helps in keeping the headset sides aligned correctly and can make adjusting the headset incredibly easy.

There's also the option to use your standard jacks rather than USB (though you won't be getting vibration from the standard jacks unless you use the battery pack), which may be nice for some.

Overall, the headset works great and both the microphone and speaker quality is great. If you're looking for a good, professional-style headset for gaming or want a really nice music headset (for your computer), then this is definitely the way to go.

Quick tidbit: My first headset had the microphone die off after a few months, but I called up TekNmotion (the number is on their website), went straight to an actual human and got everything fixed up right. In fact, they sent me a new mic to test it and within a few days it had arrived. The new mic didn't fix it, so I called them up again, got my RMA# immediately, sent it back, and got a brand new headset for free. The headset itself comes with a 1-year warranty, though I'm sure it should last longer as my new headset is and has been working fine!......

First of all, I would like to highly praise this product. Overall, I find it to have incredible speakers which are also very comfortable. The vibration makes the bass sound fabulous when listening to music. Despite this, I hate their mic. It has broken on me three times and is a major annoyance to have a new one shipped in. Even though it is free to have it shipped in, it is annoying that it breaks sooo easily. I don't even know what I did. I never banged it up or anything, it just stopped working. Overall, I like this product.......

Works just fine with Windows Home Premium 64 bit.

I tried the USB first and they sounded awesome. The vibrations were neat (not over bearing) and made the bass sound VERY full and rich.

The lights are worthless to me because I can't see them LOL, but that's not a big deal. If you like that sort of thing, then go for it.

I then tried the standard jacks and they worked perfectly as well except no rumble but thats ok, they still sound VERY nice without the OVER THE TOP deep bass.

I didn't try the battery pack yet (and probably won't)

I plugged in the microphone and launched Ventrillo. I chose the new heaphones in the Ventrillo SetUP menu, did a test, and they work perfectly for gaming (Left4Dead, WoW) and Ventrillo.......

The TekNmotion Pulsar SX PC Gaming Headphone clearly stands out with its led lights that beat and change with the level of bass in the music. The louder the music, the more the led lights react.

Sound quality was acceptable but I wasnt able to experience the 7.1 sorround sound functionality as advertised. There is also a selectable vibration function which is also synchronized with the sound.

Setup was fast and you can use this product with a PC or with portable music players with the standard 3.5mm audio jack.

The only comment I had was the HUGE size of this thing. Surely the LED lights account for the size of the ear cups but I think that things could still be miniturized.......

I didn't expect it to work at all. The XBOX controllers I can't get to work, I figure there is incompatibility with the emulators i'm using it with. Oh well, two player action with a Gamecube and PS2 controller is cool enough.......

I have tested the 3 in 1 Magic PC Joy Box on both my Mac & Windows PC using an N64 emulator and a GameCube controller, and it works great!

If you want to connect a GameCube controller to your computer, this is the easiest way to do it!

The keyboard won't connect. It's absolutely of no use except for the entertainment value of the blinking light on the dongle. The seller's policy is they won't accept a return. There is no warranty. Kiss your money goodbye. I would have rated it lower if I could.......

I received a defective model with a sticky "V" key, but even if that had worked correctly this device is practically unusable for all but the lightest computing tasks.

The keyboard is OK, although it would take some time getting used to the proprietary layout of the non-character keys (none of which have any features that would make them identifiable by touch).

The huge problem is the joystick pointer. It is too awkward and imprecise to use, especially on a high resolution HDTV.

In the end I bought a Logitech diNovo Edge. It is much more expensive, but it is everything you would expect a wireless HTPC keyboard to be.......

Very Cheap and work well, I used it on PC with Vista x64 operating system. It worked without installing any drivers. Works really well within the range of my sofa which is about 15 feet. The joystick takes getting used to, but functional. The weird handles looks weird but comes in handy a lot of times. For its price its a great keyboard.......

This may work for video games, but it is NOT a substitute for a real keyboard. Sometimes it functions properly, sometimes NOT. The seller is unresponsive and the manufacturer is worse. BAD IDEA!......

I have my laptop connected to my TV and needed a keyboard that would allow me to both type words and use the mouse while sitting far away from my TV. This little keyboard does the trick. It has a solid construction and the wireless range is pretty decent. Most of the keys are laid out nicely except the the DELETE key is placed on the bottom right (I usually expect it to be in the top right). My only other criticism is that the joystick is a little too sensitive and takes a little practice to get used to. ......

This boxed set is definitely a good buy -- the keyboard alone is worth the money, getting a digital mouse and a headset are icing on the cake.

The keyboard takes a little getting used to. First off, it's got a set of 34 keys on the left side, slightly angled. The number keys and arrows keys are combined into one set to make room, which can make things tricky if you've gotten used to having a standard 10-key pad at your right hand. The arrangement of the Insert and Delete keys are a little off, and the keypad includes some functions you don't normally see (like cut/copy/paste, and keys for minimizing and closing windows).

A smaller row of buttons along the top give access to the key-map editor, as well as control over your resident media player, and three extra buttons to customize to whatever you want.

When it comes to playing games, however, the left-hand keys really shine. The slight angling helps somewhat, and it's possible to navigate the pad by feel. The included software has key-mappings for a broad spectrum of games, and creating and editing these mappings is very easy. Once you play around with it a little, you'll find yourself making new keymaps for every game you have installed. Whenever you have a keymap active, a light activates just over the number pad to let you know.

The mouse is fairly straightforward. It has a clickable scroll-wheel between the two buttons, and a fourth button just behind that whose function (if any) I've been unable to determine.

The headset could stand a little improvement. It's a behind-the-head design, which puts its weight on your ears. The sound quality is good, and the microphone does an adequate job when positioned properly, but long-term wear might make your ears hurt. (I also wear ill-fitting glasses, so this pain might be from the two combined.)......

This product was a gift for my brother. I think he will enjoy it. It appears to be good condition, and it looks like it will last long, even though my brother is kind of a rough player.......

I only bought this because I needed a keyboard. Saw this pack for $19.99 so I had to pick it up. I would rather have a wireless keyboard though but it was a bargain. Don't get me wrong, its a great product.

The Merc Keyboard
Great for FPS games. I bought it because I still play Counter-Strike and thought "hey, why not kill 3 birds with one stone?"

The Mouse
The quality of the mouse is questionable. It feels too light and it is slim.

The Headset
This thing is worth about $5-10 at the most. The design is little bit uncomfortable. Never liked behind the head headsets. I have a big head (I wear 7 3/4 New Era fitted hats - thats 61 cm around) but it fits. The sound quality i cheap but what do you expect? The only good thing is the mic: you can adjust it.

I wouldn't buy this for amazon's price but for $20 it was a steal.......

The keyboard is nice with the added extras for only a few dollars more. If you are a semi-serious gamer, unless you need a spare mouse and a headset I would shoot for just the keyboard. The mouse has some nice features (slim design, nice size and shape, three total but two functional dpi settings (300 is worthless)with the click of a button) but as far as construction goes is pretty cheap. Although you can adjust the sensitivity in-game it doesn't make up for the basic configuration (lack of side buttons extremely light weight)and anoying ridge around the buttons. This is quite awkward as far as mice go. The headset is pretty cheaply constructed but if a behind the neck headset with mike is your thing it will suit you just fine as long as you don't have too big a head. For lack of no other option this is a good kit but for the "Gamer" stick with just the keyboard unless you need some backup hardware in the event of an emergency or for your laptop bag (my use for them). If you are looking for a good mouse to pair with the keyboard then the Ideazon Reaper edge Ideazon Reaper Edge Gaming Mouse - 3200 DPI precision laser gaming mouse "Rocks" as an addition to your arsenal. Most software issues can be resolved using the updated version from the website.

A bunch of junk!......

The setup works great for both PC and PS2. BUT....it was a gift and when it arrived the lap adapter was not in the box. Disappointment to my son. After a couple phone calls, they finally agreed to send a new lap adapter which arrived about a week later. Would be 5 stars if they would have included the lap adapter to start.......

I use this gamepad for most of my PC gaming. I have not experienced any issues that others have written about. Range is fine. I'm not across the room, but am maybe three to four feet from the receiver with the gamepad. I am not a fan of vibrating gamepads, so the Logitech, which I was considering buying, was out of the choice. I want a wireless controller with enough buttons to play any and all games. I've got two Saitek pads (one wired, one wireless) and their flight simulator joystick pack. I also own one of their keyboards. I once bought a much earlier version of their wireless gamepad with a rechargeable battery and that was a dud. They sent me a new battery, which went bad in a couple of weeks too. Other than that, I've had nothing but good products from Saitek and have not purchased Logitech controllers. My mouse is a wireless Logitech and it is excellent. Got what I paid for, and not cheap either. I am looking toward getting another wireless pad so we can play three players. Maybe I'll get a fourth? Let the family fun begin. Yay!!......

I use this to play console emulators on my desk top. The software that is included makes mapping the buttons for different systems/games easy. I do feel that interface could be a little more user friendly. There are time at certain angles that it looses signal but that is to be expected from this type of wireless device. Overall this is a good gamepad especially for the price.......

It looks and feels nice. You won't have any problems navigating around any screen with this. But when it comes down to playing simulation games this pad is useless.

This is my first wireless game pad and will be my last. Playing a soccer game for example, every touch is vital. But with this, it cannot receive every push. Even when you have the gamepad right next to the wireless adaptor it won't be able to receive every signal.

It's not too bad, but it has denied me a few classic goals which can be very fustrating. As a recommendation, don't buy a wireless gamepad for a few years until they are flawless. It will let you down.......

I bought this joystick because I really wanted a wireless gamepad with 4 shoulder buttons and 6 side buttons. This one really seemed to be the only choice.

However, there are some serious problems with it. The USB dongle takes up a lot of power, which means it doesn't work on many of the USB splitters/hubs on the market. I have 2 wireless mice connected to my Monitor USB ports, and they work fine, but Saitek engineering just doesn't seem to know how to do that.

I called Tech suppport to see what was going on and Saitek recommends that you plug it in the back of the computer. However, the signal for this thing is just plain awful. You pretty much need to be within 3 feet of the signal and have a clear line of sight. So unless you turn your computer around, plugging it in directly doesn't really help.

I finally got this partially working by adding a powered USB hub with this one joypad as the sole thing connected to it - and sticking that right on my desk. Now my signal is still bad, with stuck buttons a good 1/3 of the time, but this is the best that I could make it. I should note, that it took 3 different hubs before I found one that did even this. ......

I bought this after buying the wired version (P990) because I was pretty impressed with the P990.

I bought the P2900 x1 and P990 x3 for emulation (there I said it). They work great and due to the generic layout they work well for almost any emulation you want to do from NES up through N64. There are enough buttons to go around and you can setup the buttons to near perfect alignment to the original emulated system.

Overall a great controller... but I do have a few wishes that would bring this to a "pefect buy".
--would love to see some "triggers" under the 4 shoulders
--would like to see 2 buttons placed near the center to emulate "star/select"
--really wish they would put rumble/force feedback into the controller no matter what and simply give me an "on/off" switch to choose if I want to run my batteries down or not.
--Lastly... the analog sticks, although nice... feel a bit too much like plastic, if they'd upgrade the analogs there'd really be something special about this controller.

If you want a controller that has a little "more" than all those other PS2 controller clones, then you can't go wrong between the P990 or P2900... enjoy.......

I dont know why noone else ever made (and continues not to make) a gamepad with a throttle. This is the only one I've ever found, and on top of that seemingly obvious yet incredibly rare feature it is also a well built sturdy unit.

I have had 3 of these over the years. They have all worked flawlessly, only ceasing to function due to dog attacks (severely chewed) or battery malfunction. One of them lives in my laptop bag, and has endured years of abuse there.

The only thing i dislike about the unit is, since its wireless, and battery powered, it has a powersave feature. If no buttons are pressed for X amount of time (i think its on the order of 5 minutes or so) the unit shuts off. Problem is the analog sticks aren't part of this detection, so you may be flying along & discover your controls are dead until you press a button.

It would've been infinitely more preferable if the unit had just had an on-off switch. I've found it necessary to remove the batteries when it travels, otherwise the buttons get pressed by random tumblings in the bag & the batts are dead in short order.

I should also note that I've never been able to get one of these to work with another unit's sensor. They seem to be paired in some way. I'd recommend staying away from used controllers which dont include the sensor, I don't believe you'll ever be able to find one that works.

Otherwise an excellent unit which I love dearly.......

I've owned two of these great controllers for over six years and have never had an issue with either. They calibrate just fine in Windows XP, with either the default Windows XP drivers or Logitech's. Having 11 buttons I can map a game to, plus the POV, two analog directional sticks and the slider control is a MUST. I don't understand why logitech went to a WORSE design. My 9 year old son can use them on GTR2 to win races if that gives you an idea of how precise they can be.
Rechargeable batteries are the only way to go, usually get about 45-60 hours of gameplay on a single charge.
As for the receiver going dead...in six years the light on the receiver stopped blinking a couple of times. Just unplugged it and plugged it back in again, and it worked fine. Please bring back this design Logitech, your current model looks awful!......

This is my second Logitech Rumblepad. The first one I bought many years ago when it was first released. It has been the best at all EA Sports titles and racing games. I had to purchase a new gamepad because I spilled something sticky by one of the buttons, so it doesn't always pop back up when pressed.

Its hard to find these now because Logitech has introduced a new Rumblepad but it only has 4 buttons on the top and I'm used to the old model which has 6.......

Yup, the left analag stick failed for me too - which now causes my character to run left at random times while playing GTA. Up until that it was a great pad. Weight is not an issue, the batteries lasted long enough, and the number of buttons and triggers was perfect for GTA. As much as I like this gamepad, I might search for something more reliable than get burned for another $50......

I've had the mouse for about a month now (quick shipping) and the only flaws I've found are:

1. Mouse tips forward often during regular play.
2. Drivers CD will not work with XP Media Center Edition, however I found drivers for the 1010 online and they work fine.
3. The left mouse button has gotten less responsive over time and is difficult to double click.
4. The weights included don't fit properly and rattle around, so I had to add tape to fill the gap.

I previously had a Razer Lachesis and I have to say that compared to the price, I'd definitely get this one again. Even if I do have to mess around with the mouse button to fix it the value is still better for the price.......

This is not a big mouse and if you are use to a full size windows mouse, this one will feel small. The adjustable weights will help you find the right feel for yourself and the convenient clickable light at the top will let you change your sampling rate on the fly. There are 5 programmable buttons and one of the nicest features is the third mouse button for your middle finger. It falls naturally into place and you will find yourself using it for different functions depending on the game you are playing. So much packed in so little for a low price, try to beat it. Yeah I have a Copperhead and a G18 but I have 2 of these and I am not looking back.......

So after having ordered this item, I waited with eager anticipation for it to arrive, only to be very disappointed when I opened the package and discovered: they sent the 1010.

An honest mistake, I thought, given the 1010's packaging does not say "1010" anywhere. The only ways you can tell that it's the 1010 are:
1. reading the easy-to-miss slip of paper inside that says "1010"
2. knowing what a 2020 looks like (easiest difference to note being that the 2020 has a silver streak on the right hand side of the mouse, as per the picture above, whereas the 1010's right side is just a solid dark gray)

Naturally, I reported this to Amazon and sent the 1010 back.

Again, eager anticipation.... only to open the next package and realize that the sent the 1010 AGAIN.

Currently, I'm going through another return process, and you can imagine the inconvenience. Hopefully they'll get it right the third time around.

I will post more updates on this fiasco when I receive the next package.......

Just finished building my gaming computer and needed a gaming mouse to play cryis with. This mouse is great as a gaming mouse and the price can't be beat for the performance. I did notice a little jitter of the mouse icon at the fastest setting, depending on the web page you are on. Besides that, I would buy this again as it is perfect for any hand (only wrist movement needed). ......

I had a 5 star response and now it's not working correctly

I bought this mouse and it worked for a short time. Now it randomly double clicks and I cannot drag and drop. It may be the reason for it being $20.00. I am out this money and also Creative has no support once you buy the product. The software is no where to be found. If anyone has a fix for this problem let me know.

There has been multiple reviews on other websites of this mouse working for a very short time and then double clicking on a single click. I have contacted Creative Labs and they want me to pay for shipping $10.00 at least to send this FEDEX or UPS with insurance. Well I paid 20.00 for the mouse and I am not interested in putting another dime for a product that has failed on me and is not my fault. This is a Lemon....not a mouse. I have tried to contact creative labs and I get a foreigner that barely speaks english, and tells me that this is the policy....Period. Creative products are also not supported with drivers on there website, so if you ever needed to reinstall the software if you happen to misplace the CD your out of luck. I will never buy another creative labs product.

Amazon has come through for me as Creative Labs points the finger at Amazon and says, go to Amazon if you don't want to pay the shipping for the return of the mouse. AMAZON has sent me a new mouse of the same type and has sent shipping label for the bad one. THAT IS CUSTOMER SERVICE....THANK YOU AMAZON!!!! We will see how the other mouse holds up..........

This is the greatest mouse i've ever owned. It fits perfectly in my hand. I was skeptical at first because everyone said it was huge. So i was expecting a big rock type mouse. But i must say... this mouse is awesome. Perfect fitting, sleek design, great graphics, slick feel, great grips, great ease to push buttons. This is my favorite mouse by far!......

this mouse is light like a feather, but precise like a sniper rifle. if you get its accompanying pad, you wont be looking no further.......

Here is my mini review of high end mice I've tried recently.

Ideazon Reaper Edge Gaming Mouse - 3200 DPI (3200 DPI, 6 buttons): It's a decent mouse except for the side buttons. The bottom side button is under a nub that is a bit annoying to reach in the middle of a first person shooter fight. The top side button is a little nicer to reach and decent to use for knocking zombies off yourself in L4D. The wheel is annoying since sometimes as you scroll it seems to click without putting much pressure on it (which is annoying if you have something bound to MOUSE3 and you just wanted to scroll the mouse wheel). Also, it would have been nice to have two DPI buttons instead of the one (easier to "go to sniper mode"/"go to regular mode"). Currently the DPI button toggles between 5 different DPI levels one at a time and there isn't a way just to use less than that (I'd prefer just two for the above scenario...). I wouldn't recommend this mouse in it's current form.

Razer Lachesis 4000 dpi Laser Gaming Mous--Banshee Blue (4000 DPI, 9 buttons): This is the first mouse that gave me actual pain my my fingers and palm after just a couple of hours use and it has just about the worst ergonomics of any mouse I've ever used. The side buttons are in a very inconvinient location. In first person shooters you'll constantly be accidentally clicking either side's buttons since they're in the area where you grip the mouse (they're designed so you need to put "extra" pressure in the grip to click them). The laser itself is pretty decent at 4000 DPI, but it is placed in the middle of the mouse instead of closer to the front, so you basically need to move the whole mouse to aim instead of the regular first person shooter "tilting the front of the mouse" aiming. Be sure to go to their web site and use the updated drivers and firmware or you'll see a lot of "mouse jumping" problems even when you're not touching the mouse. Also I noticed the mouse buttons would register as "up" as I was turning sometimes with the mouse button down (such as a Heavy in TF2 spinning his gun using the side button, which is annoying as heck). There is also no on-mouse DPI display so there's no way to know which DPI setting you're at (one of the five DPI settings you're forced into). Anyone had any good experience with this mouse?

Logitech G9 Laser Mouse (3200 DPI, 7 buttons, weights, two grip types): I used this mouse for a bit less than a year and it is by far my favorite mouse. One problem is the connector between the mouse and cord eventually went bad and then the mouse had connection issues (Google this for more information). Other than that, it has by far the best tracking and button location of any mouse I've used. I like that the DPI switching is under the left mouse button and it is easy to tell what DPI level I currently am at. Highly recommended!

Logitech 931375-0403 G7 Laser Cordless Mouse Black (2000 DPI), Logitech NEW G5 Laser Mouse (2000 DPI) and Logitech MX518 Gaming Optical Mouse - Metal (1800 DPI): If you can't afford the G9, the models to the left are similarly good. I've used and like them, but they all had tracking accuracy loss over time and needed to be replaced (generally after about 6 to 8 months of every day gaming 4+ hours a day). None of the older models have the high 3200 DPI laser, but the G5/G7 have switchable DPI levels and generally feel good and are ergonomically nice for using over long periods of time.

OCZ OCZMSDMXD Dominatrix Laser Gaming Mouse/MSI GS-501/Cyber Snipa Stinger (3200 DPI, 7 buttons, weights): Very good for the price (one of the cheapest high end gaming grade mice). The button locations are good and so is the feel of the mouse. The default drivers that come with the mouse don't work with games well. You'll have to download the newer ones from their web site and do some special settings for your games to register the side buttons as MOUSE4 and MOUSE5. Highly recommended (drivers could use some work though).

As with any mousing, be sure to have a good quality mouse pad that doesn't need to be replaced (I used to replace those 3M Precise mouse pads about every month heh). I've been using a fUnc sUrface 1030, but there are a lot of newer ones out there now. Just be sure it's something you can soap wash and you should be good to go (no foamy or cloth pads).......

I'm not here to really say too much, just thought I would leave a review. Anyone interested in buying this mouse definitely should there are more than enough customizable buttons you can program, and the instant dpi button makes things easy for whatever game you may use this for. I like a big fat mouse that fits nicely into the hand, this mouse sure take the cake, the buttons are slick so cleaning is a snap and it just works very well. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone that enjoys MMORPG's or really any type of computer game.......

This mouse is definatly worth a look. Fully customizable in every aspect that you could want. Five different preset levels for quick DPI adjustments in-game (must have for FPS games). Both buttons 5 and 6 are located on one side (left) of the mouse and are easier to reach than some mice that put one on each side. Tracks very well even without a mousepad; I've had it on about 5 different surfaces including a wood desk and even glass with no issues. As noted it does have a cord, but the mouse is heavy enough to not hamper movement in the slightest. This just means no batteries or a charger, or wireless interference from something else, and this is a very good thing in my book.

Top rate mouse, whether you are serching the web or doing fast reaction gaming, it's a pleasure to use. A++......

I've had my Microsoft Sidewinder Force Feedback 2 Joystick for many years. So many in fact... more than 5, maybe 10?! that I can not recall which version of Flight Simulator I got it for. It has held up well all these years. Each time Microsoft releases a new Flight Sim, I jump on it. This joystick has been used with all of them this decade. The "force feedback" motors and all firing buttons continue to work well. Even the throttle works like it did on day 1. I've used this with a number of car racing programs too. I'm running Win XP SP2 and SP3 - and no problems on either of those versions (worked find on Win98se too). I have not tried it on Vista.......

I've had this joystick for years now, and owned the original Sidewinder previously. This line of products was, in my opinion, one of the few things Microsoft did right. I tried the X52 and other joysticks and always go back to my good old reliable Sidewinder. Sure, it's not the newest, but it works for me.......

I bought this thinking that it was a Microsoft product and that I would have no problems with operating system compatibility for that reason. When I received it, I found that it isn't compatible with Windows Vista and Microsoft no longer supports it at all because they sold off the sidewinder products to another company. I returned this product and purchased a Saitek X52 Pro joystick. The Saitek doesn't have force feedback but has a lot more functionality than the Microsoft Sidewinder and is fully compatible with Vista.......

I was playing combat flight sim 2, chasing a zero in a dive with a corsair,torched the zero but had too much speed to pull out of the dive, game was so realistick I snapped the joystick just before crashing into the ocean! When I got it it came unbroken and in perfect condition. I have had it for a few months now and no problems. Except it stared to squeak a bit so i opened it up and a little WD-40 did the trick no problems ever since tho.
<until now (July 09, 2009) the left shift button stopped working and i was right in the middle of a chase on Need For Speed Most Wanted and ended up getting busted cuz i couldn't downshift. everything else still running strong> NEW RATING 3 STARS......

It didn't work with my game and I want to take it back. I called the manufacter and they said that they had no any idea how could helping me.......

I had an wheel like this and the shift paddle broke. Tried to return it and had nothing but trouble from Thrustmaster (they never did give me authorization to return it). Steering wheel has a lot of delay and is flimsy, it really is hard to use. I use it with GR-R, GT-R2, it really is not worth the effort. I would look for something different.......

I do not have this wheel, but another Thrustmaster racing wheel. I believe its the Ferrari 2-in-1 racing wheel. I've had it for about 4 months, and not really any problems. Until a few days ago, when one of the paddle shifters just completely stopped working.

I've contacted their tech support 3 times, once via email twice over the phone. When I talked to them, they acted like they would do something to fix it, send parts, RMA or something. But nothing so far. It's been about 5 days since I first contacted them about the problem. Also every time I call their tech support agents always try to get me off the phone in 5 mins or less. I'm going to KEEP calling them until the actually do something about it.

I also have a Thrustmaster Joystick, that is actually pretty nice. So if you have a little more green do yourself a favor avoid the headache and get a logitech. I wish I did. ......

Very nice product from Thrustmaster, but still using plastic gears inside the wheel. Expected life 3 years or less under heavy loads.........

The Falcon itself works as advertised. Game support is generally poor, though they recently got Orange Box from Valve to use the controller so maybe that is the start of good things.

If you live in New York they won't ship their pistol grip accessory to you. Without that the Falcon loses most of its appeal. I thought their weird default ball controller would cut it but I was wrong. The pistol grip bundle is a must to get this to be worth it!

Even outside New York, you cannot purchase the pistol grip by itself, though Novint pretends you can. I've had mine for over 4 months and that accessory hasn't been in stock once! I called Novint and they politely told me I'm SOL. Grips are for bundles only I guess.

Conclusion: Good product, very poor post-purchase experience, and if in New York make sure to ship to a friend in NJ or something!......

How exited were you when you first felt the rumble pack on Nintendo 64? The ability to feel when I crashed was a welcome addition to my gaming experience. Heres where the falcon comes in. It is a 3d mouse that can be moved up and down, left and right, and even in and out. It can also provide feedback in any direction to simulate gun recoil or to let you know what side a zombie is hitting you from.

All of this sounds very cool in theory. Well here are the cons. GAME SUPPORT IS HORRIBLE. There has been the same list of games since I bought the thing 6 months ago. Novint claims to be releasing a generic driver that will work with all games. That's basically admitting that no falcon specific features will be incorporated into games in the future. What they will try to sell you are games that were designed by them for ten dollars a piece. That's like paying $10 for one game on Wii sports.

Getting parts has been a journey. The Novint website has been out of the pistol grip for months now and when I asked if they could sell me a grip out of the bundles(that include the falcon and the grip) I was told that wasn't possible. This really makes me wonder about getting replacement parts if something inside the falcon ever needs to be replaced.......

I don't have much to say other than this product is amazing. I took me a week to decide to make this purchase. Don't wait that long, buy it now so you can start playing soon. You need to feel this thing it's great.......

Fun product but more of a novelty item to add a different twist to gaming. I don't see it replacing the standard FPS controls anytime soon.......

Bought this about three months ago and now the left-side of the keyboard is dead. I just ordered a new Logitech keyboard to replace it. If it lasts longer than three months, it's a better bargain. ......

Everything from milk (cereal) to alcoholic drinks. I think as long as you don't dump an entire glass on it, it will keep working if you shake it out right away. The buttons are easy to push and don't make a lot of noise, it's not big, odd shaped or complicated. It's got your basic stuff like print screen, home, edit, delete. It also has basic volume and pause/play buttons, email, home/new page, calculator and some other buttons I don't use up top. It's simple and stands up to liquid and that's really all I wanted.......

While looking for a miniature dpad-like USB controller to bring around with my laptop, I found this.
The PSP-style moveable nub does pretty well, in some cases arguably better for control, so no complaints there.
There's a nice assortment of buttons placed as well as can be on such a small pad, and overall it's just surprising well-built and comfortable given it's size.
It's about half the size or less of your average cell phone, and when it opens, it locks into the open position.
The retractable cables another convenience, though I'd kill for a bluetooth version of this controller.

The sole downside, for me, is a minor one. I find myself occasionally closing it a bit, unlocking from it's open position during use, sometimes. Maybe it's just me pushing it using it for Street Fighter 4 on my Playstation 3. That has gone away with me changing how I hold the pad a bit, and when it did occasionally occur, it didn't hinder the actual control of the game one bit. Even if partially folded in half, the small nub and buttons are easily manipulated.......

For a while I was looking for a good game controller that I could use with my laptop and just keep in my backpack for short breaks from studying. As I don't have space for a full-sized controller, the pandora genius pad really caught my eye because of its fold up design, small size, and retractable cable. You don't realize how ridiculously small it is until you hold it in your hands for yourself. For a 23 year old male, I consider myself to have average sized hands. The controller is almost too small for me, but I got used to the size pretty quickly and it works for half hour gaming sessions.

Setup is really easy, just plug and play and it works perfectly (for a Vista user, at least). It comes with a CD containing drivers if you want to use the force-feedback function. I didn't use it, though I'm kind of curious how strong the rumble feature is considering how incredibly light the controller is.

As for playing games, the controller far exceeded my expectations. The PSP-style control knob actually works well for both 2-D side scrolling games and also 3D platforming games and racing games. The shoulder buttons are somewhat hard to use since there are four of them all cramped up on the top, but if you only need to use one or two of them at a time it works out ok.

Lastly, the controller does feel a little cheap. I'm not sure how long it's going to last, but after 3 months of regular use, the controller still works as good as day 1. Considering the controller is only about $20 (or cheaper) in the first place, its a really good value.

I bought a pair of these to use with my EEEPC. . . who needs a DS when you can play TONS of Games w/ emulators on your own fully functional laptop? FRIGGIN SWEET!......

This product is about what you would expect. It's a small and portable gamepad for your laptop - it works well with emulators and is plug and play with microsoft operatings systems.

I do agree with some other reviewers that the analog stick could use some more work. It's not a smooth slide from left to right, there is definately some friction due to mechanical griding. Directly under the stick (the top of which can be popped off) there is a paper disc that keeps dust from getting inside the gamepad. I removed it and it appeared to help with the motion of the analog nub.

Overall I cant complain, it does exactly what I want it to and was very inexpensive.......

Cheap, Cheap, Cheap. Not the greatest, but not a waste of money either. Very, Very small. My 5yr old loves it.......

It does light up in the dark. The keys just feel a little to soft for me.......

This keyboard has a red backlight in two intensities. The keys are painted silver. In certain light it is difficult to see with the backlight on. Otherwise it workd as advertised.......

This was my first gaming keyboard. I went from an OLD Dell keyboard to this. Since red is my favorite color and I HATE the blue LED's, I saw this one. At the low price, you CAN NOT beat this. I've had this for 3 years now. Still kickin. I do plan on upgrading to the Saitek Ecplise 2 soon. It's very hard to find a red led backlight keyboard. This Saitek, hands down, is the best. All my friends who type on it, want it. The backlight is perfect brightness. Although you have the option to dim and dimmer. Mute, Sound up and sound down. The keys also pop off very easy for those cleaning jobs.
My keyboard has been with me threw and threw. And still going strong. Great paired up with the Razer Diamonback Salarmander Red. I do have the new Razer Lachesis on the way. (Wraith Red)

Im actually surprised this keyboard has gotten the reviews it has. Initially I thought "wow this looks pretty cool." and since Im a gamer and play in the dark from time to time I thought a lighted keyboard would be a nice change. WRONG!! The picture makes it look brighter than it actually is. Its barely illuminated at all.

Additionally, Ive owned it for about 3 months now and the buttons are already fading. By fading I mean.... the silver paint they painted over the buttons with WEARS OFF!!!

The wrist rest is okay, but really cheap and if you move your keyboard or adjust your station it falls off and is generally just a PoS.

I would never recommend this keyboard to anyone.......

I recently purchased a G5 gaming mouse Logitech G5 Laser Mouse (Blue/Black) for my home computer. I liked it so much that I decided to purchase a G9 for my laptop. The G9 has a couple of features that the G5 lacks including : interchangeable grips, the ability to change the display color and four DPI settings vs three. They share: weight addition and distribution, proper button placement preventing inadvertent changes during gameplay, and two different feeling scroll wheels --smooth and clunky (set by a switch on the bottom).

After a couple of weeks of use, I like both mice, but I prefer the G5 simply for the shape under my hand. For me, with my longer fingers, the G5 is a true palm mouse, and your palm rests on top of the tail end of the mouse; the G9 is more of a finger mouse and your palm is off the tail end and not really resting on the mouse. In short, I prefer the G5 for its larger size and profile. This is probably the reason I prefer the "precision cover", shown as the default cover in the product picture, for the G9, this rougher texture cover is wider and provides a more comfortable position for my thumb.

For both, I continue to like the ability to add weight, finding I like a heavy mouse. The accuracy and ability to change DPI is great. Both mice look great on my desk, although the cord (and the cords from other items) tend to add clutter.

Overall, I am very happy with both mice. Feature wise, and using them for regular computer work and game play, I think the G5 provides a very adequate feature set while the G9 provides more customization that you may or may not need.

As indicated, once you are in this price range for a "game mouse", it comes down to shape, size, and weight for me. As the prior user of many corded and wireless mice, I have discovered I like bigger, fatter, heavier mice.

For any mouse buyer, especially those considering paying over $40 for a game mouse, find somewhere to put your hands on one and see if you like it -- you may find, like me, you have a preference on size and shape.

Either the G5 or the G9, both are great choices. Or just buy both! ......

I had the previous model and I love this one so far. I love the new weight position so I don't have to worry about them falling out. I love how precise this thing is. It is amazing. Good product. I've had it for about a month now and I have no bad regrets.......

To preface this short review, I am not a competitive gamer but I do play the occasional FPS. I have had this mouse for about a month now. I come from a Logitech MX1000, which is not a gaming mouse and a palm-grip mouse.

The mouse is very well built and intuitive to use. It moves very smoothly on a generic mousepad and the rubberized grip has a pleasant texture. Sensitivity buttons and profiles work flawlessly. Although the software is good, I did not have to install anything to get most of the major functionality. I did not have any difficulty switching from a palm grip to a claw grip (the mouse is a little small for me, however), and weight adjustments were quick and easy. All in all, this is a fantastic mouse.

The main issue is the scroll wheel.
1. The first problem is the smooth hyper scroll is much too "loose." Mere bumps can send the scroll wheel flying and it is very difficult to steady the wheel in one place without holding part of your scrolling finger against the top of the mouse. The clicky scroll has no issues.
2. The second problem is the scroll wheel click is a little hard to press. This may be intentional to prevent click accidents, but a little more "give" would be ideal.
3. Right side scroll requires too much force and the wheel doesn't feel like it is moving very much. Left side scroll has no issues, however. If the left sided scroll motion was not so easy to perform, there would be no way you could tell side scrolling was a capability of this mouse.......

I use the G9 often for gaming. The available button for mouse sensitivity is a terrific fine-tuning gadget for the different needs different games present. In my view this would be the all-time best gaming mouse except that somehow the designers decided to place the sensitivity toggle switch directly under the finger used for the #1 (primary shooter)mouse button. I've lost count of the game conflicts I've lost because I needed solid maneuvering sensitivity on my mouse and without my realizing it the sensitivity had gone to high mode. A slight movement of the mouse then sends my sights completely off the screen and I'm toast. I hope a G9 rep reads this and they update the device. ......

Being a peripheral fan, I've been subject to a lot of different mice as I try new ones every 6 months or so. Well the G9 was a pleasant surprise and a thankful addition to my permanent mouse collection of two. First things first, this thing is really a quality item. The buttons click with ease and are not noisy. This gives them a really smooth and expensive feel to button clicking, making overall mouse usage a pleasure. The additional grips and weights are a nice touch for those who want the most from their mouse but what I've noticed and liked most is the shape and low profile of the mouse. At first this was a bit awkward since I was used to bigger full sized mice with high arches to support the palm of my hand. However, those mice made my hands sweat all the time and the heat and moisture always left me less than comfortable. With this mouse, my palm does not touch the mouse but rather hovers over it. This was odd at first but after getting used to it I prefer it. Now my hands never sweat and it actually takes less effort to move the mouse. There are also some other outstanding features to the mouse, notably the microgear hyper scrolling feature that I cannot live without now. All in all, highly recommended.......
